Good point, I had no idea about the unveiling, and I agree I thought that this would have been bigger news too.Cheers

I am making progress, I can win all of the beginner races everytime now, so time to move to the next stage. Basically when I play it all I do is drive the Nurburgring in the arcade mode in different cars. I even drove it in that 15hp Subaru that is one of the choices. Cheers

There have been threads on the Hulme on here before, it also has been in a fair few NZ Car Mags as well over the past year. Cain is involved in it as well I think. Is that right Cain? Also Gerry from the car club has some involvement in it too. Cheers

Hello The A539's were good, probably better than the C Drives - I get a lot more squeal off the C Drives than the A539's, and I'm sure they have slightly less grip (but are still very grippy). I can't recall driving them (the C Drives) in the wet much yet, so can't comment on their ability in the wet yet. I think if it is dry in Taupo for the Track Day, I'll put the rims with the 80% worn 539's on the back instead of the C Drives. Cheers

1995 from memory, and you are correct standard M3 is 3.0l, and M3 Evo is 3.2l (and 6 speed) Cheers

...in GT4. I surcumbed and bought a Playstation 2, Logitech Steering wheel etc and GT 4 today. It is good fun, I have resisted playing computer games as I have thought that they are a big waste of time. However, I must say I am enjoying GT4, even if I am not much chop at it yet. Hopefully my current lack of skills will soon be sorted out. Cheers

Yup, Peter has some nice cars alright. Cheers

I don't say anything about buying pre-95 E36's.First impressions, it looks like a nice car in good condition. Cheers

lock it bro Why?The topic if fine, just make sure you stick to it and not meander too far off. Also if you have a problem, send me a PM, its easy and makes it easy for me to address your concerns without everyone else having to read it. Cheers

Guys, we have a PM function for chit chat like this. Stay on topic please. Cheers

Except for me, I had to beg to be a mod, and am still sending Andrew 10% of my weekly wage to stay as one (what do you do with that $2.25 each week by the way?).But the feeling of power I get is worth it...today Bimmersport.....tomorrow the world. Cheers

Thanks, much appreciated. Cheers

Look, this thread is turning into a sh*t fight too. Basically the problem with this forum (and others) are that people hide behind their keyboards and type rubbish. The moderators try and lmiit it, but we have a hard job sometimes. We will close topics if and when we want to (and for good reason). It is impossible for us to control what people type and post on here. I probably delete 10 posts a day as it is that I think are insulting to other people. Basically, if you are easily offended maybe this is not the right place for you (but we do try and keep things as civil as possible). Also keep in mind that the majority of the negative comments and sh*t talking comes from a relative minority of posters. In saying this, consider this thread locked too. Cheers

Can someone in Christchurch please look at the following car for me in person (and provide me with a report on it)? Can you please also make a note of the full VIN number, and also let me know where it was imported from, and when. Also, can you find out if there are any service records available for it? If possible can you please take lots of photos and email them to me at [email protected] http://www.nzcarsonline.co.nz/the5thdimens...egoryID_list=24 Thanks in advance Cheers

It'll suck in hot air and won't give you any gains unless you also add a CAI kit/box/thingee so that it sucks in cooler air.Easiest thing to do is replace the stock filter with the K&N flat panel one. That is debatable (i'm not saying wrong, just opinions differ)At higher speeds (including normal open road speeds) you should still see minor gains (as plenty of cool air is entering through the front grill) even with no heat shielding, however at lower speeds (i.e. urban driving) you will most likely see no gain at all (in fact may even see a decrease in performance). However as Carl said, heat shielding is the best option regardless if you have a pod (says me who has a K&N pod and is too damn lazy to organise proper heat shielding. A dyno comparison is the only way to know for sure though. I agree, the easiest option is a K&N Panel though. Cheers

I can probably get it up here in two weekends time. Grant, if I give you an address in Wellington, can you drop it off there, then i'll pick it up off that person (my sister) when I see her at a wedding at Castle Point in two weekends. I need to find out her address (she just moved back there last week). Cheers

Damian (sorry if I have the spelling wrong, I'm never 100% sure) is right, save it for the track, even if it is a quiet road, the car is still crossing the centreline in the video while losing traction, and that is not cool. Cheers

There is probably more than an ounce of truth in that, I mean a monkey could service a Wrangler, but not everyone could service a Ferrari
