Both Gus and I were wondering...Does anyone know if Gizzmo Electronics does custom ECU remapping for anyone, or just for the makes and models of cars they have listed on their website. BTW their site is http://www.gizzmoelectronics.com/ Cheers

I'd say that one in good condition would be worth $ 7 - 10k. $10k would be bordering in exclellent, 7k would be one that is in average condition (but with nothing major wrong with it). Cheers

My mechanic told me that my E30 has lots of vet@cki, so no wonder these magic thingameebobs work so well.I'm waiting till I have finished paying off the hire purchase on my Blow Off Valve before I buy another couple of them.

Don't just change the springs if you still have your orignal shocks. You will need sports shocks as well otherwise your original shocks will last all of 5 minutes.Besides unless you are going for 'percieved' looks alone. You car will not handle all that well with sports springs and standard stock shocks. Me, I have Bilstein Sports shocks and H&R Sports Springs, and that seems to be a good (and very popular) combination. Cheers

yes and you must also inform them that you are doing in the interests of their safety.Cheers

No worries, sorry I had no idea how cheap they were new either.Cheers

Sounds like you have damaged the sump (you wouldn't be the first). You'll find out easily enough when you have a look under the car. Cheers

I have one, an external HP CD Writer Plus 7200e (plugs in via the parallel port). It doesn't seem to want to work with my new laptop (which is an HP too), it seems to be having a clash with a bios setting somewhere. If you want it it is yours for $50.00 + postage to Wellington. Got all of the original CD's and everything else with it (however if you want to use it with Windows XP, then you will need to download the correct driver of HP's website). Cheers

sweet, nice effort.

However with places like that they end up cheaper (even though their hourly rate may seem high). This is because they can diagnose the problems more quickly, and then know exactly what to do to fix it. Therefore they do a more efficient job, with a smaller margin for error, and therefore it will be cheaper than a backyard mechanic who guesses at the problem and takes a lot longer to fix it. Cheers
