  1. Will a Manual M20 Starter start an auto M20? Because, I have both, I think I may have mixed them up. thinking the starter on the floor is the auto one because it's pinion is still shiny, and the terminals have no corrosion... but I wirebrushed the starter in the car before, because there was white stuff on the terminal.
  2. Have powered it correctly, Will try get the starter out soon. gonna try find a video camera for when I'm ready to video the problem.
  3. Haven't tried the starter out the car, need to get the blasted thing out lol. the starter doesn't sound like that, It's throwing out and stopping I beleve, I'll try get it out now. I have another starter here, so it's not a biggie. ( I may have installed the wrong one )
  4. Hmmm, so if the torque convertor isn't on the gearbox properly, the motor won't beable to turn over? We can turn the motor over. It's not making a "clickclickclick" noise like a flat battery... it's just going "CLICK" and is like it's unable to turn over. Could still be the battery though. Wouldn't the starter just freespin if it wasn't throwing out?
  5. Yeah just get a router, and not use the "WAN/Internet" port, and disable DHCP. works good. that's how I have mine setup.
  6. Sweet, that's working. Now the problem is.... f**kING THING WONT START. it just goes "CICK" of the starter engaging, but the motor won't turn over. EFEFEFUIWEHFUEFH Was talking to a mechanic about it, and apparently I diddn't allign the torque convertor properly. apparently theres a method to it.... also the transmisison isn't plugged in maybe that might stop it? any other ideas are greatly accepted.
  7. Will count them tomorrow... but it's like 8-9 not too sure.
  8. Nearly done, new motors in the hole, all the pipes are on (hopefully) just got to work out where this large lead directly from the positive of the battery goes? does it goto the starter? which allready has a power wire on it.... Cheers.
  9. They are cheap as at the dealer, bought one today for 67 bucks.
  10. Meh, no point spending too much on a M20B20 when you can get a B25 for the same amount it was going to fix.
  11. Interesting story, but dad diddn't spot the plug when he disconnected the gearbox, and then proceded to remove the engine and box and destroyed the plug for the transmission.... Would like a plug with 30cm or so of wiring if anyone knows what I mean. It's for the automatic with the Sport/Economy/3-2-1 modes. Cheers. Need this to get my car going xD motor is virtually ready to put in the hole.
  12. lolol GP Forums... they would laugh at me and tell me to get a stupid nissan.
  13. Looking good, I want that missle launcher.
  14. Sweet, Dad has a brand new bottle of loctite too xD Will whip it back together tomorrow! Cheers guys... where would I be without Bimmersport.
  15. New engine has a mint viscious fan
  16. I'm removing the spigot because I'm a girl and using an automatic Couldn't afford a manual conversion haha. with the automagic the flywheel thing is more like a starter wheel and that's it? hence just torqued properly and loctite might be fine.
  17. Another sh*t question xD Do i need to replace the flywheel bolts? torque setting should be 105nm
  18. Sweet, will try that tomorrow! Not much left to do now.... just got to clean it, and put the loom back on!
  19. if you can get one cheap, I hear it's worth it. I have a swaybar here, but am missing some parts to install it. too busy installing my B25
  20. anyone know how to get the Spigot out of the engine xD
