    Free parking

Anyone work / live in the city / go to the cbd on weekends? I know a place right in the cbd that is free, athough there are ticketing machines the place isnt monitored. Thought it was all talk but parked there from 12 until about 745pm and didnt pay. No ticket when i got back... gonna try again tonight, from 6 till 10...

    Home audio

Should talk to my old man.. hifi ftw. Heres his setup Kimber Cable Meridian CD Player Audio Research preamp Quad Power Amp Shahinian Hawk Subwoofer Shahinian Super Elf Loudspeakers Amazing sound!!! the Shahinian Speakers produce some of the best sounds, everytime i get a cd first thing i do is give it a blast on his stereo, only thing is everything else sounds very disappointing afterwards. Not sure how much the subs are worth, i think they were around 25000 in 06.. damn i wish he was into cars though :-(

    Actual Speed

Course i value my licence.. but im already doing that speed and theyve seen me, slowing down isnt going to make a difference.. its not like im doing 120 round a 65 or anything, just 130ish on straights, it seems to sit at about 10km/L on 2500rpm, easy work for the big 6 Its open road driving by the way, i regularly drive between qtown and dunedin and not the auckland motorways.. thats just a bit silly as youd stick out like a sore thumb as i agree people do drive a lot slower on them. i do, lots of cameras on them. Also agree with the convoy thing, sometimes i tend to find another car that is going at a good pace and just stick behind him which is a bit of fun on a 3 hour drive..
  7. did your "e39 coupe" look like this? or do you mean e36??

    Actual Speed

I usually travel between 120-110 on long straights, and maybe up to 160 when passing so im not on the other side of the road too long, but if im doing say 120 and see a cop i just keep going at the same speed, i think unless they see you suddenly brake, their eyes arent glued to the radar speed of your car and they are concentrating on driving themselves so they dont pay much attention.. Well thats my theory and i havent been pulled up for speeding yet and have gone past plenty of cops at 120, think i went past a cop at 140 the other day, i just kept going like nothing was wrong.. and they kept going too..
  9. This guy is pretty abrasive and arrogant, a columnist for Vanity Fair and has written a few books. Check out some other vids of his, he is a very intelligent guy and has some good debates, a lot to do with religion as he is a strong atheist, tried to post some non-religious links here though. Debate with an apologist Baptist cleric who said 9/11 was because of gay people and touched little boys Anyone go and see Richard Dawkins?
  10. Signed... Only been for Groove in the Park.. as i used to work weeknights.. I like how people make money off using their property as car parks.. win for everyone
  11. That dude needs to get some advertising up, he would make a killing.. 320000 hits in one day..
  12. Yeah definately stupid.. i have a full sleeve, ta moko, as i got bit of maori blood. But only after knowing i wanted this after about 3 years i got it, and they are all done free hand and mean something.. Can remember guys at high school scrounging money together to get tats, one guy had this eagle head with a sort of nike tick through it.. hilarious we used to tell him it was the nike chicken.. He also got the "eye of ra" on his right chest and a lion head on the left, we used to call that one simba. There are some bad ones that its hard to find the worst, but this guy is definately a douche and all these people too

    Mining....

Agree with Antony. I have worked in hospitality for the last 10 years, and spend quite a bit of time in qtown, where i am at the moment,. Take for instance last year and even this summer, really quiet year as the whole economic crap, one restaurant was down 40% against 2008. And to increase it would mean more people, and yeah, they have to spend government money on walking tracks etc. Lets say the dig somewhere remote, government could say, ok but you have to build such and such track for us or pay for sealing gravel roads etc.. And i would have to say, some kiwis are more unrespectful than most tourists ive met.. have a lot of invercargill and gore bogans chucking beer bottles and kfc wrappers on the side of the road, idiots. One thing someone needs to do is market and sell water to china, we only you 1% of our water supply.. = $$$

    Mining....

I think they should, as long as they can fill in the hole afterwards.. And it is nz companies that get to mine it.. and they go the right way about it. It will help the economy, more labour orientated jobs.. etc.. everything people need right now. Personally i think John Key will help our economy for the better.. People need to stop crying, its not like they are gonna burn the whole forest down..
  18. Looks good, How long till the Linux version??
  19. Think most e39 and e38 guys in the states just swap out the rear muffler for straight pipes and leave in the cats and resonators, sounds pretty good and the resonators keep the nice BMW sound. YouTube "e39 muffler delete" sounds really good on the 540, but still good on a 530
  20. Bad Company 2.. I find Cod maps really small and it's mainly just running around shooting, whereas bad company 2 has a bit more team-work and strategy behind it... Just made it into the top 1000 in rankings.. Mean
