Spotted a Dark Green M3 on Roberta Ave in Glendowie parked in front of an Dark Purple/ Black E34 M5. Both looked very nice

My friends were in the 2010 Golf GTI, yep I heard the GTRs were bloody quick especially the white/cream one. Sounds like I should have come out for a look.

My friend was out at Hampton Downs yesterday for the driver training and said he saw an awesome E46 M3 CSL doing a photoshoot. I asked him what the number plate was and he said it was "L8APEX", so I knew it was you. I saw a video of Mike's Race E92 M3 and bloody hell it sounds incredible on the downshift!

My dad is a pilot for Air NZ and flies the 777. I am training to be a pilot now, trying to get my hours up for my PPL and next year going to UNI and doing my CPL at the same time... well thats the plan atleast. My grandad was a pilot for the British Air Force so it kind of runs in the family. Its something you have to be passionate about, especially if your dropping upwards of 100k on the training. I'm only 18 so I'm still young and have the resources to do it. Tristan, I have a friend currently doing the Cathy Pacific cadet ship so if you want any details on it PM me.

Yep, saw this yesterday. It looks quite a bit like a Z3M, its ridiciously over priced IMO though.

Hahah! Talk to Nick or Max! I need to give you a call about the wiper blades Glenn. Will do it tomorrow.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking for a rip free drivers seat in 0254 Perlbeige (pictures below) and a Manual Sunroof winder both for a 1986 318i. PM me if you have either of these, Cheers, AJ

They are Corvette wheels, they came on mid to late 80's Corvettes. I'm not such a fan of them but I can see why some people are.

Saw a MINT E30 M3 in Hellrot Red this evening in Mission Bay. Plate was DHZ346, BHZ346 or something along those lines. Was sitting on ACS Type 1s too, very nice indeed.

After just buying Dudlee (E30 318i P/FL), it has Bilstiens in the front with King Springs, although it is a little stiff it is great fun in the corners with that lone. You can just throw it into a corner and it will just go there (more or less). Just get something cheap, with a few suspension bits and I will guarantee it will be brillant fun. Insurance is hard enough to get for an 18 year old with a 1.8L insured for $3,500 but for a 16 year old with a modified 10 grand car? No chance if you ask me, or it will be hugely expensive. On a side note get insurance put in your name too don't put it under your parents because you want to build up a reputation with insurance companies. If your at the Anniversary Weekend meet, I will take you for a spin/you can take it for a drive. Although I orginally wanted a 325i, the extra insurance cost/extra petrol costs just made me realise that I didn't need it as an 18 year old Student. You don't realise how expensive it is to run a car by yourself with no help from your parents (especially a BMW) until you actually daily one. I have only had mine for a week and theres a decent sized list that I want done to it to smarten it all up. Sorry for ruining your thread but I can just see you buying a 2.8L/325i and realising that you can't afford to run it and then selling it 1 or 2 months later.

Cheers Nick, Already feeling quite attached to it and loving every minute of owning it. Send me a text or a PM when your back and you are more than welcome to come take it for a drive
-
Nice car mate! Pity you sold it though Max, are you going to bring it to the Anniversary meet?
-

Well, after hunting for a nice clean E30 for the last few months, Nick (e36.) PM'd me and told me Dudlee would be for sale soon so I had a chat to Max (tastic) who was selling it for Nick and on Wednesday we went to have a look at it. Initally I was put off by the high kms but I took it for a drive and it drove like it had done less that half the kms, aswell as the stack of receipts that go all the way back to 1994! I gave Glenn a call and we took it out to him the following morning and he gave it the all clear minus a few things that will need doing to tidy it all up. So by Thrusday afternoon, I had my first car! It's a 1986 318i 5 speed manual, Cirrausblau (Cloud Blue), 226,000kms, Manual Sunroof, Manual Windows, Blistein Shocks and King Springs in the front, KYB shocks and standard springs in the rear, BBS RA with 195/55 tyres brand new. Anyway compulsory pics Things to do: Reupholster the front drivers seat/purchase a new one Get a new sunroof winder (other one has snapped off but you can just clip it back on) Clear front and side indicators Repaint the wing mirrors and front lip Reupholster the gearknob/buy a new one and fix the gearboot (doesn't have the clip part that holds it down) New Windscreen (has a small chip and a quite large scratch) Maybe lower the rear a little too Just a general tidy up all round really. Big thanks to Glenn for checking the car over, Max for getting up at 8am after a big night to let us take it out to Glenn and Nick for selling it to me

Cheers Hans, but I bought a car here in Auckland. Thanks anyway.

You don't by any chance have the side indicators in clear do you?
