Put the Style 116s on... makes the E34 touring look 10 years newer. 116s are e60 only, and are a strange looking wheel ... but no complaints, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 rubber is awesome

going to ask a silly question here, have you done a trans oil change yet (probably not as you just got the car)... have a look at the trans oil, that may hold a clue to your woes.

your part number is 12141744859 DME 3.1 ran from '90 to 92.... so it must be a non vanos one. shouldn't be to hard to find at the wreckers. should be easy to get from 92 e36s ... there's one in Hamilton http://www.pickapart.co.nz/stock.asp?yid=6
