I don't think there's too many 8 channel amps for car (maybe I am ignorant), I'd say they are for in car DVDs. channel (in general) just means how many set of speaker output it got. 4 channel means it has 4 speaker outputs. Sound stage, I am not 100% sure. But my understanding would be this.... try imagine a 3D hologram image of your favourite band (holo-band) playing within your car in a 3D-axis, their sound (singing and instructments) will come from that image. Sound stage is pretty much your perception of their (audio) presense with you in the car. Obviously you want the band performing in front of you, at (prety much) eye level. This partly explains why rear-fill is unimportant. As we said, read-fill is to adjust the sound stage (usually raising it) without overpowing the front. So it doesn't move that 3D holo-band backwards to behind you. If you are interested, read this website.... http://www.bcae1.com/ Prepare to spend a lot of time on it because there's lots and lots of good basics and knowledge about car audio... over 130 topics It's a good 7th form electronics refresher too!

Sorry off topic a little... Andrew, where did you get your HID lights and how much? I am seriously thinking of getting one for my 323i too~ Any problem with WOF/cops with that HID on?

what's the brand and model?

If you are strap for cash, you can leave the rear as original and only upgrade if you feel inadequate after doing the front and sub to save $$. The rear is relatively unimportant that that you won't even need stereo for the back as they are there only to fill the cabin with "some" sound for help the staging. Experts out there, correct me if I am wrong. Cheers!

While I won't dispute that many Asian can't drive, but there are more people out there that are no better driver than those Asians. Also, Try drink and drive for a start, how often do you see an Asian at breath testing check points ? One of my theory with licence tests and Asians, is that they got passed because they drive nice cars. Really, with the salary of the examinors, how many of them can afford a Merc/Audi/Porsche? Ever seen people taking a e46 M3 and Audi A6 to sit full licence test yet? I have!

Note: The following is just on top of my head, the options may not be exactly as displayed on screen but should be close. 1. Sign in to Hotmail 2. Click Option -> Options -> My Profile 3. Change Country to USA, put down, say Floreda and 33332 as ZIP code. (or NY 11220) 4. Update then sign out Then... 1. Sign in to http://memberservices.passport.net/ using your Hotmail username/passwords 2. Click Customer Service -> Close Account 3. Close the account then sign out Then... 1. Sign in to Hotmail again 2. Skip through those Junk advertising 3. Ta~Da~ 25MB done. MS will upgrade to 250MB after a month or so. Although it was tested that it won't lose your e-mails, but it's recommended that you back up anything important before you try. I take no responsibility and you should proceed at your own risk. Only downside to this is, you can't use MSN Messenger to auto sign-in to Hotmail. Enjoy!

That idea is not new, previously seen on Ford Falcon. Bad for break cooling on spirited driving but I suppose you don't drive that crazy it should be fine.

Alpine CDA-983x and 985x looks good in e36 I reckon. These were my criteria before I bought my 9835 1. Sounds good without amp but have potential to get one later 2. Look tidy with interior and MUST have orange light buttons 3. MP3 and iPod connectivity Attached a pix for how it looks at night. Oh yeh, while you have the lower dash (and maybe centre console) apart for the sounds upgrade, you could pre-wire for the amp to save you time later. The +ve main battery wire (red) runs along the driver side, so might want to run your sounds signals (for the amp) on the passenger side. There's a bracket in the boot for factory amp install that you might want to utilise for your aftermarket amp.

Many 3-series is low enough for everydays use already, plus you might want to check if you have M-springs installed out of factory. (mine did, option 704 I think, not to confuse with "M3"-springs) drop 1 inch, you'll need to be careful at multi-story car parks drop 2 inches, you'll need to slow right down for speed bumps drop 3 inches, you'll need a LVV cert! (correct me if I am wrong) That said, are you after the look or performance? Eibach is a good brand I heard for springs (ProStreet is the series, I think)

Yeh, I have to agree with you. But that said. silver cars with *CLEAN* wheels (not chrome) look stunning. Part of the reason I picked the silver is because I don't have to wash/wax as often!

I beg to differ....Do you own a silver car? My car's arctic silver, it's pretty noticible between clean and dirty.

Red cars are more likely to be found exceeding the speed limit Silver cars hide the most dirt and red cars show the most dirt Silver is a popular colour in Germany Black cars are not popular in hot climates White is considered a sensible car colour and is often used for fleet cars LTSA - Link for Safe Vehicle Colours

Hope he'll get well soon. If he rolled 6 times, he just evened the world record for rolling a car at high speed. It was on Top Gear few weeks ago. Insurance would be a pain for the next few years I'd say.

same here, happy to upload.

Neon on Bimmer is just a bit.... wrong? Un-bimmeratic?

First of all, welcome to bimmersport There was a comparo some months ago where some guy had both (3.0 and 3.2) and at the end kept the 3.0. (Total BMW Magazine, Apr 05) The guy thinks the EVO is a better car with brakes and suspension upgrade (and the extra power), but he'll keep the 3.0 because it's still a great car to drive, reliable and lots more mod available compare to 3.2. (The guy had the VANOS unit replaced twice on the 3.2 that only done 88000miles and the 3.0 done 180000miles without any rebuilt/parts failure engine-wise) That's just one guy's opinion, but hope that helps anyway. Cheers~

I believe it's a violation of TradeMe rules, but only if you have this photo in another listing. I guess you could state the fact in the question to get him remove the pix.

Sh*t happens, but crash into a tree? I agreed, these people should not allow a car at all.
