I sometimes try this. But not very easy with a small sports steering wheel & the E30s steering columns dont go up or down they are fixed in the one position.

As for the looking at oncomming cars headlights at night...I for some stupid reason do this aswell (not all the time but very often). Its like we have Possum DNA in us, making us stare at the light...

Not a bad or weird habit, but at the lights, I watch the ones that are green so when they go red I know when to go (2sec delay) but if there are people turning who get a green first I know to wait for them. If light is red when I am approaching I also slow down (dont break neccessarily just let go of the gas) so hopfully it goes green before I do stop. Also if 2 lanes straight thru and one lane is full and the 2nd lane has 3 or less cars I will always take that lane unless its also a left turning lane which means if one of them is turning and they have to wait for any pedestrians I will take the other lane - unless no one is in this lane and the other lane is full I will always go into the empty lane. WHY do people queue up into ONE lane in peak traffic?

I just noticed this makes no sense of course the boot is higher than your bumper. I dont know how to reword that. Just ignore it...

With my standard 14s on I dont care about potholes I just hit 'em unless they are massive ones I will then avoid them. I also have a habit of, as soon as I hop in my car, I gotta roll me a Ciggy for when I'm driving. Thats more a smokers habit, but everytime I hop in I gotta roll one & smoke it...

If you do as I said, make a small box out of 'glass in the well then sealed the sub into it, it should helf stop the tinny sound of the Well. Thats how I saw them do it in a Hot4s magazine. Looked like crap at the start but the end result after tidy up, it looked mint. But of course, its a magazine so they cant let you hear what it sounds like. Do It. If it sounds crap just remove it. Should be too expensive to build the sub in wheel well, probably $20odd of resources & a weekend in the garage. I'd do it to find out but I got other things I need to do first.

WTF? Same as I did this E36 and I had no damage...was the Corolla boot higher than your bumper I assume. Gutted

Sammy J - FOR REAL? Im looking at a:- 1993 BMW 530 M60 V8 (says engine includes free car which is damaged). Can see alot of you guys searching for it now. Problem is: its in Dunedin. I dont know anyone in Dunedin & they said NO WHEELS (bring your own) so I cant do that either. Would some in Dunedin be willing to help get some cheap s--t wheels that would fit & then load onto a transporter? Id be keen as a mofo but just too much to worry about if I do buy it.

How fast Forrest!? I rearended an E36 about 1 week after I got my E30. Hit it square on at 50ks, didnt even hit the brakes (day dreaming while out rolling at night). Slammed them right up it. They hoped out (middle of the damn road) and NO damage to either car...I was freaking out. They said all good & took off so I took off, stopped down the road & well there was no damage to me either. Bloody BMWs.

I agree with that. I do that ALL the time. And have never known why, and dont know why I started doing that. I also sit in the drivers seat with a little lean to the passenger side...cos the seats are old & farged, its not me. Its annoying. I always drive with one hand (my right hand) on the wheel.

Hell check this Imagine driving that...im sure the owner must be deaf if he drives like that. I've had people say mine makes them deaf'ish and its all standard speakers apart from the 6x9s & the one 15".

I saw an E30 on Trademe, seller was parting out. Boot had a trim panel on the boot "lid". Look pretty cool. On full bass, my car dont sound too bad, on the outside. And yeah inside sounds mint, outside not mint but not crap.

After seeing yours, Im pretty keen to hunt me down a full set...but I want to have a dish made on them...not gonna be cheap but looks mad....one day.

You but some cars have different vibrations...guess it also depends how solid the car is. Does your boot have the trim on the lid? If not, that might help deaden it? Im looking at finding one for mine just for the hell of it cos they look cool.

Brook... what kind of vibration? The vibration mine makes is bass...it did used to be a tinny sound then I removed that plastic numberplate surround & no more rattling. Just bass which is pretty hard to stop in all cars unless you use sound deadning material.

Am going to get 6x9 spacers for the tray. I currently have the 6x9s in boxes on the tray which are just plugged into the factory speaker cables. Sub doesnt knock them off & they never moved either when I brake or go around corners.

Thats one hell of an expensive wheel...

If its slow & you want it to be fast. Of course it aint gonna be cheap. If its slow & you just want it going again, it aint gonna be cheap but gonna be cheaper than making it faster. So what would be the recommend $ to fund a V8 Conversion? I dont know the numbers like you put up there, but a 5Speed V8 from another BMW... And thats if 90% of the work is DIY.

Oh ratchet. Guess Im gonna have to wire it up like the sub. All good, i guess I need to remove all the wiring for the sub anyway & tidy it up a bit. The heady is Sony Xplod, not a crapper - pretty good came with the car. I dont know if it has 2 sets of RCA sockets, will have to have a look. Cheers for the heads up FrantiC

White looks good indeed BUT, white is a PAIN to keep clean. Just like white clothes. One small stain or burn (if you smoke?) and its gonna stand out like an Elephants balls.
