Yeah I've bought me a pair of E30 rails that have been engineered to be bolted onto buckets, just need to find another one that matches then will bolt them in (so will have forward-back etc not just stuck in one spot). And yep Monday is sweet. Cheers.

Am wanting to do the E36 eletric window switch upgrade to my E30. If anyone has 4 switches in working condition lying around, hit me up. Am keen to get this mod under way.

What a shame, looks like a really nice car (shame that someone done a crappy front cut). But I agree you should part it out - some of those parts are quite sought after. The guys on here could give you an idea of what parts are worth. Easily get your $3G worth if not more.

Do these kits come in the metal cases like the kits on TM or just in a small cardboard box? And I assume they include install instructions? Does anybody have them in their E30 that they could show a photo of what it looks like under the hood (around the lights) after installation?

Is your diff making noises? Mine was so I drained it and refilled then noise was gone, been sweet for lasy 10000ks (car is same as yours, 318i FL but its '88) its also a 4.10 diff. Yours most probably is too.

I may also be keen. Does the kit include boh low & high beam or just one? And whats the brand?

RE- Blackie. Yeah I have cable (zip) tied it on and my 1st one was also as I couldnt get the clips to work with it. Because they are fibreglass (replicas) they smash on the those carpark stopper things outside the shops (and sometimes the footpaths which are raised), done this once but wasnt noticable... so i have to stop a few feet back from where most park (with the ass hanging out) as I cant see how much room in front. If it saves my lip then I'll do it. I smashed my 1st one in my own damn driveway.

Full set of standard springs from my E30 318i (facelift). Will fit 320 & 325 (from what I know) but may sit lower? due to 320/325 being heavier in the front? (BS members can confirm?!) Still good nick, not saggy, no cuts (so fully legal). Not sure what these sell for as a complete set, so I'll chuck a figure out there of $150....give me your Offers - best offer can have them. Selling to increase my savings and simply dont use them so just taking up precious room. Can upload a photo if needed...but we all know what they look like.

Not today, but recently... Added:- -KW bucket seat & rail (fixed back, cant move) - comfy as f--k. -Chrome speedo rings (4 of them). -Fit my new E30 iS lip replica (my 2nd one so far). Oh and replaced a high beam bulb. Going for WOF this week, so thats the next thing.

Well it obviously passed the VIN test when imported so is obviously legal. Can you print out some kind of proof from a website explaining this part of the car and show them? They cany deny evidence. Kind of like reverse lights, mine never worked (on my E30) so I put black tape over them. Have never failed a WOF (lost count how many I;ve done since owning it) and never had it "noted" down either. NZTA say if its visible it must work - so its nots visible, so doesnt have too work. Same should apply for your light, cover it up & they cant fail it?

Im pretty sure the UK have something similar. Have heard they have scanners on the motorways etc that scan each place goes thru the system within seconds to check if stolen, reg out, no wof, etc etc. Then a cop is sent out after them depending on whats wrong (stolen would = cop & no reg would = ticket in mail). NZ can do this, wont take much and would mean police have more time to solve real crime.

Does anybody know of a step by step guide to changing an M40 cambelt? Am thinking of doing mine these Holidays. Or at least attempt it.

Looks like a very reasonable project car. I reckon its a good price considering it looks very tidy. Also nice wheels and already has a decent front kit and spoiler...Spend another $1K (maybe a bit more) for conversion and you got a mint E30.

Guttered, definitely worth more than $400...oh well win some lose some.
