This is abit of a grey area, i have had 1st hand dealing with the testing station over this in my old mans 4x4. I have been told you can have the fog lights there for decoration only(not working) or as others have said you need them removed if not working, and when they have been disconnected i have had to connect them or remove them. so go figure??? Try ring the LTSA 0800 number and ask them. They are the only people i think know the 100% truth. Not some testing station tester inturptation(sp) on the law. Grant, have you completely smashed or just cracked the fog lights? cause i think you can get away with cracked ones

import one from the states or get on built. try some american bimmer forums and ask people about them. im sure they would be more than happy to help you with any questions reguarding the s/c kits and which ones are good and who are the crooks.

most amercian performance sites have s/c kit ti buy from about $3000 but bear in mind the exchange rate and shipping. shipping costs depend on when you want it. I got a 2nd intake manifold, landed in NZ for NZ$30. but on the other hand it took 3months to get here. Then customs will charge gst on the goods. but not if they are under $100. The way i get round this is send an email to the sender not to value the goods over $100 even when some items where bought for $300-400. The exchange rate i good at th moment but with all things its a gamble on whether you buy now or buy in 4months?

Nice wheels, keep representing!!! i have B&G superlows with black KYB's. with 16" ROH rims and running on 215/40 rubber i have a ride height of 65mm with a camber of about -3.5 deg. i spend $20 every 9months or so getting my tyre's changed on their rims. so it wears out the otherside of the tyre and prolongs the life of the rear set. there is one LEGAL e30 with a LEGAL ride height of 40mm. This car lives in tga and i have witnessed the cert plate on this car. The ower of this car has cut the front struts in half, took out about 2" and welded them back up. your prob thinking BS, it cant be done legally. well when you get it done by a cert welder you can. This person has about the same amount of camber as me.

according to my trip computer i do on average 8.1L/100km on cruse control i can get as low as 6L/100km on a straight flat road. pending on how i drive i get about the same as andy.
