  1. Not a BMW but, I made seat covers for both my bikes the other day, here's the Honda with a pretty new seat cover.
  2. Well aware of that, he wants the Msport suspension, both my E34 were non M-sport and to be fair not that great, his E34 was non-msport also and whilst it wafted well, it wasn't firm enough for a spirited drive every now and then.
  3. Has it got all the Msport goodies though? He wants a good recaro interior, mst b leather and pref in black. Body must be straight and Mtec. Manual/auto is no big deal to him, he doesn't drive hard often, if at all, therefore no point having a manual.
  4. Cool, thanks Brent. I may have to sell both bikes, a cheap 535iS would probably go up in value over the next few years, they're getting harder to find in decent spec and a white E34 with MTec kit does give me trouser tingles....
  5. Have you got a bike licence? 'Cos boy can I do you a deal
  6. Are you able to get some pictures up Brent? I'm selling my CB400 at the moment..might have to sell the Kawasaki too...
  7. It gives me the horn! He isn't worried about it being auto, his last E34 was a very ridiculously specced facelift 520i (Couldn'tpull a dollar off a Jew)I'll ask him though, I'd rather he got a manual so I can steal the keys. He's currently driving a UZZ31 Soarer V8 that he's offered the dealer a trade with. Do you think with all the options and tasty bits it's over priced? I do remember looking at earlier this year on trademe before I went and brought a few bikes =D
  8. My flatmate is looking at this sexy wee thing, but, it's a bit far away from our current location of Bunnythorpe to go check it out. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-367181279.htm I assumed as it's been for sale for quite some time someone on here would have some knowledge of it? Any help is greatly appreciated, cheers, Doug.
  9. That's impressive! My view on best road may be different as I am on a bike. The Pahiatua track and through Mangamaire was magic in the E36, the road from Eketahuna, via Alfreton to Pahiatua is brilliant to, also Eke to Masterton via Alfreton is grouse.

    Ouch

Wow, speedster FTW, I'd drive it as is....
  11. The Saddle rd, Woodville to Ashurst, it's twistier than the Pahiatua track, but, I do love the track, I do it a fair few times a week on the bike.
  12. Absolutely heart wrenching. My thoughts to the families and friends involved.
  13. Now....I like that! Nice sensible a/r on the rear housing! Should go like a stabbed feline.
  14. I would imagine so, but, I have the use of our oscilloscope (I just want to play...) But, as I said I'll tell him to do it properly. It's not worth the rigmarole of guessing games and getting parts shipped etc
  15. It's a late 96 or early 97 as it has T/C, so must be an M44. They seem to drain a huge amount of the measly 103(?)kw through the auto trans... It's a twin cam. What kind of voltage will I be looking for at correct operating temp, or resistance when hot/cold? He's not too clued up on injected engines and I know nothing about the BMW 4cyls (Nor do I want to know )
  16. I'll go give him the word that it needs diagnosing. Another thing, are the early Jap Z3 the M43 or 44? They seem pretty damn gutless, so I would think the 43? I'm asking incase I need to find parts. How do you tell the 43 and 44 apart? Ugh, I hate 4cyl BMWs without an "S" in the engine number...
  17. Thanks dude, will mention that to my mate Ah, that reminds me, the temp gauge reads low on the open road. It will get to the middle if you are sitting in traffic with no airflow.Thatnks Brent, I'll check them out!
  18. He is fair BMW literate, but, only with the 6 cyls to my knowledge, which is my problem also, I hate the 4 cyls with a passion.
  19. Don't be silly, that doesn't fool me!!!!! They are another sublime vehicle from the Czech Republic.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velorex Nothing on a Tatra 603 though... nom nom
  20. The only lot I can think of would be Jeff Grey in Palmy. I have a mate with a decent scanner, but, is BMW specific equipment needed? (I highly doubt it...)
  21. Unfortunately he refuses to take the damn thing to a dealer, he got shafted last time for $2500 to replace a sump gasket and 02 sensor on his other Z3. I'll try talk him into it, though. Thanks Glenn.
  22. I have a mate down here with a 96-7 Z3 1.9 auto, it's a Jap import and has recently had major work done due to a crash, which looked like a truck drove over the front. It's been eating the petrol like nobodies business, similar amounts to my old Rover P6B V8.... Now he purchased the car damaged so we are unsure if this is a result of the crash. He also has another nigh on identical Z so we know it's being obnoxiously hungry. What would be a suspect? I was thinking an 02 sensor, but, it's a bit extreme for that. Would it be the FPR? The vacuum line has been replaced, but, is there a chance the Vac line could be pinching? Anyone had any experiences like this? Cheers guys
  23. Google it....they are awesome, massive luxury cars.

    Nerve Damage

I would hate to loose a limb! Good on him for staying on bikes, I have stayed on them, they are like a drug! I just ride sensibly now... Not too keen on breaking myself more.
  25. That's one neat E30, GLWS mate. Wish I had the funds at the moment. Time to pull finger and sort the Hilux out and sell it off.
