Just had a read through this --> http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=26859 All of mine are stuffed, so was wondering where you guys get your bushes, and which ones you guys would recommend. AFAIK, there's urethane and the stock (oem) bushes. So what brands do you recommend? At the end of the day, this car will be used on the road as my daily driver, but I will be tracking it and replacing the m40 motor. Thanks in advance.

Good luck Glenn! My grandad stopped smoking before he was nearly 70, because he had the goal of seeing me graduate uni. If you set yourself a goal other than how much money you'll save, i'm sure you'll be better motivated. I know its damn hard to quit, as all my uncles smoke, and they still havent stopped after years of nagging.

keep the 316i lol. Its cheaper to fill up and easier to maintain compared to the mitsi and 328i. All guys go through the stage of "damn, i want a dope fast ride", but do the maths, unless you've got a decent income or parents supporting your motor costs, its too damn expensive. I dont know how much you've been offered for the GSR or its maintenance history, but think about the future costs or how long you'll be keeping it. Same goes with a 328i. You may be able to afford the car, but not the insurance, petrol and service fees. My 2c. You might be rich and earning an awesome amount for a 17 yr old, i dunno .

one of my mates gave me a bmw OEM torch for my bday, unfortunately, it doesnt fit my e30 glovebox socket, but i want to keep it for sentimental value. Question: is it a straight swap of "GENERALY FITS THE FOLLOWING MODELS : E38 , E39 , E46 , X5 , E60 , E63 , E65 AND MORE " sockets to my e30 socket wiring? TIA

i'm green with envy. a white GTR 32 or 34 has always been a dream car, especially when white is the Japan's motorsport colour. Good luck with your plans.

Welcome, 316i's are great cars goodluck with your plans

you seem to know your stuff Good luck with the project, looks to be very promising.

nope, the car wasnt wired for tweeters, or the wires werent where they were supposed to be. This is a timely process, as you have to be careful whilst pulling the wires through, you'll need a wire with its tip bent into a lobe shape, so you can put the wires inside the lobe and pull it through the rubber ducts that contains the electric mirror wires. I would recommend buying a good quality tweeter package with quality wires, as you can snap the connector tips off or the copper inside the wires.

i had a similar one, whilst selling stuff on TE. He was working on an oil rig, and asked if his offer was too low for my car. Dont waste time on these mofo's.
