I REALLY miss my '92 190E, hoping to get a 2.3-16 one day.... There is a build somewhere overseas which involved a 190E and an M113K, now that would be an insane little car. The post '90 201's with the body cladding and updated interior etc are a far nicer car than their 80's brothers. I also believe the W201 looks and is built better than the E30 (putting my flame suit on) You say that like us Merc' guys want to lower our engineering quality with BMW parts

There is a guy on TM selling both an M117 and a manual transmission for it, i think the bellhousing had been professionally modified or something. I'd love to turn my wagon into an E500 with the M119, wide body and all.

Mega clean, wish I possessed the motivation to create/keep something that clean. Thankfully, I'd say it's out of the buyers price bracket for an RFB conversion.

What gets me, is the folks who have listed their car and have 10 photos of the same side of the car and no interior, engine bay, boot etc etc.

IMO, the problem is not speed. The problem is muppet drivers who make me question how they tie their shoelaces let alone drive a car. See it everyday, people in their appliance cars, dreaming in their own world oblivious to anyone else on the road around them. Doesn't matter whether they're driving fast or slow they are straight up terrible. It's as if they somehow forgot they're in a car, and are supposed to be driving it. I can now predict what's going to happen at most giveways and roundabouts around town here as more often than not If I wasn't paying attention, the other car would have taken me out. Friends XR8 got written off a few months back by some chick who failed to see he was stopped, giving way and turning into a street, instead of going around him she just drove straight into the back of him. I seriously believe the average "driving IQ" is in a sharp decline.

Good condition, factory FL E39 foglights. I'm not sure if the bracket(s) is all there, you'll be able to tell by the photo. my old E39 is long gone and I'm having a garage clean out. Sorry for the potato spec photos, my "water proof" phone is having some sealing issues with dust. $80 + post. Can courier to most places for around $10.

Is that old TM or new TM? I thought i would be able to make it to 1k positive feedback (at 920) before encountering any TM muppets, but in the last month I've had two idiots place bad feedback on me because of their own action and TM won't do anything about it as apparently they don't get into feedback disputes. One guy never paid for some basket weave caps after a month and several emails, the other refused to send/give me freight information and kept demanding payment even though the auction details were "arrange shipping". If he's polite and agrees to cancel the sale, he will get a refund on his success fee and that's it. I definitely understand where you're coming from with the interpretation of "very good" condition.

Not sure if this is worth anything to anyone, was left over from my old E39. Started to repair the pixel fault but then found a replacement. Was in good working order, but now missing the volume dial and ribbons. With a replacement ribbon she'll be golden. $25 delivered via courier anywhere in NZ.

No worries, just let me know any areas you want looked at. I recommend buying my wifes Ford Probe instead though, who needs a 540i. I've got buyers lining up at the door so you'll have to be quick haha.

I could check it out for you, although my only knowledge of the E39/M62 is the worn out one I had. Complete with torque converter issue and noisy vanos, then eventually chain guide failure

He's pretty interested, insurance should pay him out this week so if you could find out if he's selling and get some pictures that would be awesome.

There are a lot more deals and variety to be had, but there's also a ridiculous amount of retardation on there. There's a lot of the "my bmws crapped out how do I RB it", if you can read past those posts there's no problem. I find there's a larger audience on FB than forums these days which is a shame as I like forum based info. Get the best of both worlds though I suppose!

Anyone on facebook seen this car? Spotted it on "South Island Euro Buy/Sell/Swap/Parts Etc" For $5,500 seems cheap if it's just the clutch that needs done? I was tempted but luckily I'm out of money haha.
