  1. I cant help wondering how an N54 would fit in a E46.
  2. Will S50B32 cams fit an M54? Both engines are dual vanos but are the mounting points to the vanos the same?
  3. Now $300 delivered! Up for sale is a set of E46 Eibach Springs new in the box. These will lower a standard car 30mm or an M-Sport 10mm. Can be used with standard ride height shocks. $360
  4. Mine got an E36 318is. He thinks its cool, better not let him read this post.
  5. Str.Ts are not rebuildable and the guy at stocks says they are not really that firm in the damping more like OEM and to top that off BNT have sold their last set of B6s. Well it looks like I have to shop overseas.
  6. Ok my decision is being made by the fact there are no Koni Yellows in NZ nor Bilstein B8's , so I have to choose between Koni STR T's or Bilstein B6's to go with my Eibach Proline springs and Eibach 27mm and 21mm bars. I am in two minds at present what to do there is very little price wise between the two options. The Konis have are set up for lowered springs similar to the not available B8's where the B6's can take slightly lowered springs but are are supposedly not a shortened shock per se. The Koni B12 series uses Eibach springs either proline or sportline but I don't know what bilstein shock it uses although it would seem that the lower sportline would use the B8 but does the B12 proline use the B8 or B6, I just can't seem to find that out.
  7. There is this of course. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/53108-for-sale-e36-325i-coupe/
  8. Is this different to the rack in my 2003 330ci ?
  9. Can yu send them to Wellington? I f so I will take them.
  10. E46 Convertible with sport suspension has a 20mm Rear bar.
  11. Went to price Koni Yellows and there are none in country at present and the B6's are nearly the same price as the Koni Str T's, and I have read some negative reviews on the Str T's on the E46 but on my E 36 they work fine, so I am unsure. I have also read that the B6's are not as firm as the B8's and I am starting to sway back towards the B6's, as I agree with Ron that our rough roads need some compliance. I will look at fitting a 24 mm bar up front and a 20 mm at the back to control the roll.
  12. Yup doing my homework researching the options and trying to make it work on a limited budget.
  13. If you go to the eibach website and do a seach on the springs via the application lookup they say drop is 1.4 inches for the pro kit spring # 2067.140 which are the street springs not the sportline springs which drop 1.7 F and 1.5 R. Ron I have read before you don't like the Bilstein as much as the adjustable Koni and that has given me pause to think. The Koni adjustables are quite a hit more but I do have B6's on the back of my E36 and am happy with the performance.
  14. After reading my notes it looks like I got it round the wrong way, they have B6's in stock and the guy from Autolign said they can take a spring that lowers the ride height by about 30mm but the Eibachs I have say they will drop the ride height by 35mm. Thats where the 5mm comes in. Putting a spacer in the rear is no issue but I am not sure about the front. The drop info was here the 22nd FAQ down. http://www.bilstein.de/en-uk/products/search-service/faqs/
  15. Anyone have experience with Bilstein B8's? I am tossing up between B8's and Koni StrT's. I like the B8 because it's a monotube gas shock and theory wise it should be better than the StrT which is a twin tube, although it is a very good twin tube. I want to run a slightly lowered set of Eibach springs and they are about 5mm lower than the recommended drop height for the B8's, I could run B6's but there are none in stock . Thoughts, experiences, opinions? BTW they are going on an E46 330ci non motorsport.
  16. Done deal! Will drop off at Dailys for you.
  17. They came off an E46 330ci so perfect fit. Tyres are 225 45 17 wheels are 8 x 17
  18. HAppy to drop it at Mainfreight etc as long as you have an account.
  19. Set of Style 44s 17 * 8 with Bridgestone RE 002 Potenzas. The wheels have some curbing as you can see in the images. The tyres are all 4-5mm read depth and wear seems pretty even, all definitely warrantable. $300 Also one Goodyear Assurance triplemax tyre has 6-7mm tread $50.
  20. Here are some updated photos including the interior which I have to say is quite nice in the two tone grey leather.
  21. I am looking at 003's in 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 for my e46, Tony's quoted $920 in Wellington. Personally I can't stand the stance look and prefer my tyres to match the rims with a square sidewall. I am reliably informed that's the way they are designed to work.
  22. Thanks guys, good to know about the Vogtland springs. I fitted Koni Strt shocks to my E36 and along with the cobra springs I was impressed by the ride and handling so may just go Strts again for the e46. Stocks had a deal with H&R springs so I will check that out. Drove the car today and noticed the front end was a bit darty so either the alignment is out of as I suspect the FCAB's are shot.
  23. I am considering some Vogtland springs for my E46 and wondered if anyone has used them. From what I can find they are made in Germany and are TUV certified. They will apparently drop my 330ci 35-40mm which is about as far as I would want to go. I have been tossing up between the Vogtlands and some OE motorsport springs which I think drop the car around 15mm over standard suspension. I will have to do replacement shocks as well. Have a set of poly bushes for the front LCA's and some for the RTAB's as well. Have got a set of sway bars from a convertible 23.5 front and 20mm rear. I am hoping the bigger rear bar might help dial out a bit of understeer as I run a staggered wheel setup. Keen on any experiences you have had lowering and stiffening up the E46 for better handling. Also if anyone is selling any suspension parts for an E46 springs and shocks especially drop me a message.
