  1. After reading my notes it looks like I got it round the wrong way, they have B6's in stock and the guy from Autolign said they can take a spring that lowers the ride height by about 30mm but the Eibachs I have say they will drop the ride height by 35mm. Thats where the 5mm comes in. Putting a spacer in the rear is no issue but I am not sure about the front. The drop info was here the 22nd FAQ down. http://www.bilstein.de/en-uk/products/search-service/faqs/
  2. Anyone have experience with Bilstein B8's? I am tossing up between B8's and Koni StrT's. I like the B8 because it's a monotube gas shock and theory wise it should be better than the StrT which is a twin tube, although it is a very good twin tube. I want to run a slightly lowered set of Eibach springs and they are about 5mm lower than the recommended drop height for the B8's, I could run B6's but there are none in stock . Thoughts, experiences, opinions? BTW they are going on an E46 330ci non motorsport.
  3. Done deal! Will drop off at Dailys for you.
  4. They came off an E46 330ci so perfect fit. Tyres are 225 45 17 wheels are 8 x 17
  5. HAppy to drop it at Mainfreight etc as long as you have an account.
  6. Set of Style 44s 17 * 8 with Bridgestone RE 002 Potenzas. The wheels have some curbing as you can see in the images. The tyres are all 4-5mm read depth and wear seems pretty even, all definitely warrantable. $300 Also one Goodyear Assurance triplemax tyre has 6-7mm tread $50.
  7. Here are some updated photos including the interior which I have to say is quite nice in the two tone grey leather.
  8. I am looking at 003's in 225/45/17 and 245/40/17 for my e46, Tony's quoted $920 in Wellington. Personally I can't stand the stance look and prefer my tyres to match the rims with a square sidewall. I am reliably informed that's the way they are designed to work.
  9. Thanks guys, good to know about the Vogtland springs. I fitted Koni Strt shocks to my E36 and along with the cobra springs I was impressed by the ride and handling so may just go Strts again for the e46. Stocks had a deal with H&R springs so I will check that out. Drove the car today and noticed the front end was a bit darty so either the alignment is out of as I suspect the FCAB's are shot.
  10. I am considering some Vogtland springs for my E46 and wondered if anyone has used them. From what I can find they are made in Germany and are TUV certified. They will apparently drop my 330ci 35-40mm which is about as far as I would want to go. I have been tossing up between the Vogtlands and some OE motorsport springs which I think drop the car around 15mm over standard suspension. I will have to do replacement shocks as well. Have a set of poly bushes for the front LCA's and some for the RTAB's as well. Have got a set of sway bars from a convertible 23.5 front and 20mm rear. I am hoping the bigger rear bar might help dial out a bit of understeer as I run a staggered wheel setup. Keen on any experiences you have had lowering and stiffening up the E46 for better handling. Also if anyone is selling any suspension parts for an E46 springs and shocks especially drop me a message.
  11. The battery I installed was a Century. It came with a warranty its the correct amp/hour and it holds the correct voltage.
  12. I would have happily bought it of the forum but it was on TM so................
  13. Yeah I think they make the car, BMW have some of the best wheel designs ever.
  14. Ok will take some more tomorrow.
  15. Due to having too many cars my E36 Coupe is up for sale. Its a 93 325i NZ new 131 kms. I have spent a bit on it to get it where it is and this is what has been done: New Koni front struts with lowered springs. Strut tower reinforcement plates. New Front Control arms. Powerflex FCAB bushes M3 type with extra castor. Bilstein Rear shocks with lowered springs and Nolathane spring pads. New Shock mounts with reinforcement plates. Front Brakes are E46 328i with new Brembo 300mm rotors and new TRW pads. Rear are E46 328i vented. All brake lines are braided. The brakes are great, feel power and modulation are all tops. M Sport front sway bay with nolathane bushes. New tie rods New spotlights New Second hand two tone grey leather Interior with Electric M sport seat conversion. Door cars replaced front and rear (Mint) In Fact the whole interior is very tidy. Its an Auto but being NZ New it runs the ZF box rather than the Jatco and its shifts very nicely. The alloys are BMW marked so not repos. they may be forged as they seem quite light. The motor runs nicely revs cleanly with the vanos change noticeable so I can only assume the seals have been done at some stage. The car drives very nicely and handles better than I expected. This is a reluctant sale. Negatives: The front nose cone has a dent that is rusting, its needs a repair repaint or replacement. There is a scrape over the rear drivers side wheel arch and the rear spoiler has a few cracks. As you would expect it has a few minor stone chips. I would like $4000
  16. Nice, good reminder for me to be doing my M50 rocker cover gasket soon as well.
  17. I want the crank rods and pistons from a 3l M54 for my M50 stroker I would also be interested in m54 cam and lifter tray.
  18. Steve Not sure if you got my message but I will take the parts.
  19. Very cool any chance of a video?
  20. Well that is a last resort but prefer to use a tool.
  21. Surely someone has one they an hire out? I'm a good guy, happy to pay and having used tools all my life I understand about mechanical sympathy.
  22. Wow very nice classic, looking forward to more details. Makes me think I should scratch my 635CSI itch.
  23. Can lend a RTAB tool (only for newer style non flanged bushes), OBD1 Scanner, spring compressors, brake hose spanners and ball joint splitter. In Upper Hutt.
