  1. I guess its possible but considering I will be remapping it seems easier just to use bigger injectors.
  2. As stated I will use a war chip these are fully programmable including vanos. I used one of the online programs to check the suitability of the Holden 42lb injectors and they will support up to 350 crank hp at 80% duty cycle. This was using Bsfc set up for supercharging. They are Bosch injectors and appear to have the same connectors as Bmw I will compare them over the weekend but the appear to be dimensionally identical, they just flow twice what the original BMW M50 injector does. I used this page for the calculations. http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php
  3. 42- 59 PSI is what Holden specifies, from memory an E36 is 42 or 50 PSI cant remember exactly.
  4. Ok Holden looks like the solution, I found a set of Ecotec V6 s/C injectors just as mentioned above that are 42 lb (440 cc) rated and support 350 FWHP at 80% duty cycle.
  5. Yes I could just buy injectors of them but surely there are other cars that have higher flowing injectors that are compatible, I figure its just a case of working out what those vehicles are. I know Holdens use Bosch injectors and thats what I am researching now.
  6. As it says I am looking to fit a centrifugal supercharger to my my M50B25TU. The supercharger is a Chinese made jobbie that I am still gathering info on but according to the guy I am getting it off is rated to around 400 HP. My goal is 280-300 WHP at 6-8 psi so I am not looking to go crazy here. I am looking at using a programmable War Chip and with some help from friends will tackle the mount and piping at home. So what size injectors will I need? I was thinking around 450cc's but as I am a bit of a novice on injectors I would be interested to know if there is a donor 6 cyl car I can get them from? A mate has is using Holden injectors from the Supercharged Ecotec motor for his M20 turbo build any other options out there that I might find cheap. I will get them serviced of course.
  7. Thanks for that good information. It might be easier if its the rack as the steering column looks like a pain to remove. The noise is more like a click and it comes turning left or right,
  8. I have replaced the front arms, bushes and tie rods on my E36 but there is still a clicking sound coming from that general area I can only assume its my rack or my steering shaft? Any ideas what I should be checking for?
  9. Well that seems pretty clear then, hard to argue with an official BMW door plate.
  10. Not looking to start an argument here but everything I have read says 225/45/17 is the correct fitment for a BMW 17 x 7.5 inch wheel, I know a 235 will fit but I can't see where its the recommended fit.
  11. Yeah I know the ups and downs but as I only use this car to shoot over the rimutakas and through Whitemans Valley I was happy to sacrifice some comfort. I run 45 series tires so they give back a little comfort.
  12. So I decided to replace the rear trailing arm bushes in my E36 as part of a general refresh of the old girl. After much reading and discussion I went with some poly bushes from Speedfactor in Tauranga. I went to a Garage in Upper Hutt that has a good reputation and has apparently done this before. The mechanic said "are the bushes you want to install voided?" The are solid Poly bushes so the answer was no. He said that would be a WOF issue as bush's had to be replaced like for like and the poly bushes may cause the rear subframe mounting points to crack due to the limited amount of movement that poly bushes provide. This was news to me and considering the fronts already have poly bushes instead of the standard rubber ones and just got a warrant I am confused. Opinions?
  13. Thanks Brent thats what I needed to know. Do you know where exactly that battery cable is before I start removing most of the interior of the car?
  14. The leather seats in my 93 325i are worn and I have picked up a set of sport seats with electric adjustments. I have read that in earlier E36's there is no 12v source that is suitable onder the seats. Has anyone done this swap and where did you take the 12v Feed from?
  15. http://www.trademe.co.nz/a.aspx?id=848511581 Does anyone have any experience or know anything about these chips?
  16. It looks like he still has the original suspension, reinstall it with the original wheels and sell the lowering kit and alloys to the flat peak crowd. Doof Doof..
  17. Bloody gorgeous! You can keep your E30's
  18. I would like to buy a Style 24 rim, non motorsport is fine. I want to have my spare the same as my other rims. I would also look at a pair of motorsport 8.5's (rear) or maybe even a full set. Let me know. Herb.
  19. Well I have decided to save a few more pennies and get some better tyres, with the front end rebuilt it feels great and tyre quality is starting show itself as I wind through Whitemans Valley every day. So I am looking at some Nitto Invo's after a recommendation from a chap who drives an S6. Or perhaps Some Re002's.
  20. I hope this is of some use, I get so much info from this forum its nice to be able to contribute something.
  21. Yes it looks like it, but it was intermittent and it may have been fuse 7 being blown that caused the issue as well. As an aside when I repaired the problem, my tail light failure warning disappeared as well.
  22. Problem solved, all down to frayed wires in the boot lid. What a mess! In the photo I have already taped up 3 frayed wires but as you can see the blue wire was completely severed.
