  1. When I removed the DISA valve while waiting for the kit to arrive I didn't notice anything, but on installing the kit there was a noticeable difference to both throttle response and torque.
  2. plus one on the ICV. simple job.
  3. I have pirelli P Zero Rosso's on the front of my E46 and they seem good, sharp turn in, pretty good in the wet.
  4. Drift culture; when will it end, slowest way around a corner like that.
  5. Its not a tough job and it made a noticeable difference to idle and throttle response.
  6. I have use powerflex and Superpro and I would go Super pro again.
  7. Ok I want them gone, $300 delivered.
  8. A lot of E46 love here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3uNiye9G8HI
  9. This is what came out and went in. the Ohlins struts were a lot shorter but the ride height only dropped 30mm. Stiffer spring rates I guess. Anyhow I just unbolted strut tower bolts, the big pinch bolt in the hub and the sway bar link and have the hub a smack with a soft faced mallet and it came free. My car had 180,000 km on what I suspect were original dampers. I think my ball joints are pretty sloppy (inner and outer) so that may have made it easier to get the control arms to move down to get the struts out. My changeover took around 60-90 minutes per side.
  10. Yes F1 was interesting back then.
  11. Pretty sure my 68's are non M3 although they are a staggered set, I will have to pop one off and have a look.
  12. Interesting video on the BMW M10 F1 engine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5Dbp_SuMHE
  13. Thanks Ron lots of good check points there. So Offset should be fine running Style 68's, no stretch (Banish the thought!), Front: Camber 1.15 degrees, Caster rechecked 5.1 not 6.5 degrees. Toe 1.4mm. Rear 1.04 r 1.27 degrees. Toe 1.5mm each side. Apart from maybe adding a bit more rear toe I suspect it might be the ball joints , I see there are Meyle HD control arms on TM for $229 any other options?
  14. I tidied up the front of my E46 with some poly bushings, new struts and Eibach sway bars but it still feels a little loose. Now I could be being overly fussy but Is suspect the tie rod ends and the suspension arm ball joints are probably worn. What have people noticed when changing these for new? My E46 is still running factory toe settings but feels like it wants to follow deviations in the road even though it has increased castor. I can feel the rear move a bit as it sets into a corner and suspect it's the old RTAB's. I have a set of softer poly bushes so will fit those over Xmas but an keen to hear peoples thoughts on the front.
  15. Mine came free pretty easily no need to remove the tie rods. My is not an MS and the struts were longer than the ones they replaced, fitting the new ones was a piece of cake, I even added strut tower reinforcement plates while I was at it.
  16. The guys at BS wouldn't fit runflats to the standard rims of my E36.
  17. Mate who had a 550i just got a ticket for 56kph in Johnsonville, the cop said you were in a school zone, my mate said it's 9 o'clock on a Saturday night, who's at school?
  18. Always Like the 1 series, definitely like that one.
  19. Brent I have looked at the Gold trim and I am just not sure, it looks great condition wise but I just cant see it working on a blue car with a black interior. Yes may just have to get it wrapped professionally.
  20. Yeah I could do but spent so many hours lately working on the cars I am after an easier solution.
