Does anyone have an opinion on Bridgestone MY02's? I am needing some 225/45/17s and I can get these at around $185 per tyre. Its hard to find reviews on them but I did find that they had a treadwear rating of 300 so I assume from that they are not that sticky. As my E36 coupe is a weekend car I don't mind a tyre that wears faster as long as its a bit sticky. If I can do that for around $200 or less per corner then just like Prince Charles I'm all ears!

Richard I have passed your contact details on to my mate but he is being swayed towards what appears to be a pretty tidy 330 cI M sport manual, it has pretty low KM's and I think that appeals to him as he is a BMW novice.

I have a set of front and rear Lemforder Rotors $200, I also have a set of E36 rear brakes with rotors and park brake drum pads $100. Also 4 225/45/17 Run Flat Bridgestone's 2 are Re050A's and 2 are S001's all tyres have 5-6mm of tread and are in pretty tidy condition $400. For FREE I have a set E36 front struts and springs as well as a S/H set of e36 front rotors and pads and an E36 front sway bar. I am happy to courier, all I ask is for the courier costs to be covered, but as I have an account this wont be much.

I have just about finished the suspension upgrade/rebuild on my E 36 and It's time to start thinking about how to get some more power out of the the M50. So I have thought about the following options. Supercharging: Do I get a kit ex the US or can I do it with a S/H Supercharger and make/buy the extra bits. Turbo kit; Pretty much as per the super kit. Buy an s50? Do a n M50/M54 hybrid to a get a strong 3.0 N/A engine. Do an LS1 or RB/ 2JZ swap. I have to admit at first I wanted to do the LS swap but I am getting a bit overawed by everything that needs to be done, plus the more I own my M50 the more attached to it I am becoming. What I would like is around 270HP at a minimum, I would be happier with 300HP plus as that will get me a car that will accelerate to 100 KPH in 5 seconds or so. (Assuming I get traction etc etc). I am very interested in what others have done and at this stage I dont just want to go and buy an M3 as doing this is part of the enjoyment for me. Also if anyone has a kit or a part that me get me there then please let me know as I may be interested. Thanks Herb

No problems I will take one but I figured rotors were rotors.

I have a set of new Lemforder front and rear rotors for an E36. These are the 286mm fronts and the rears are solid 280mm. I am happy to trade on some E46 rotors 300 mm front and 294 rear. Otherwise I would like $240 for the set. I am in Wellington but can courier them.

I have to sell one of my E 36 Coupes and as I am partial to silver (matches my hair) I have decided to sell the Blue one. Its done 140 k and is a jap import. The Jatco shifts smoothly and the engine seems to run well. I have just done the brakes new pads and rotors on the front and the rears have been skimmed. It has a new front left ball joint. If you want the right one done to match I can arrange that. It will have a new warrant and rego. It has m/sport suspension and seats. Negatives are that the door cards are sagging but the roof is fine. Seats are good with no rips and minimal wear. Running on original 15 inch bottle caps. $2500

Getting the springs off was a bitch, my compressors were at the limit. In the eng I took it to a mechanic mate and he used a spring compression machine.

The LS engine looks like a great fit, I don't think the LS is low tech, its a bit like saying the M50 is low tech because it has an Iron Block.
