I don’t usually like plenty of bold colours mixed in on a car as it looks too busy and cluttered but this just looks so right!

apparently red e30 is the new thing..?
Found it. Had BBS though so there is that.

Pretty sure a few months back there was a red 316i coupe that sold for 18k on trademe so 15k seems like a bargain 🤭.
@Sammo please buy Graham’s one. I want to see it in Auckland!

Yeah, seemed like a good parts car. I got turned down as they didn’t want to ship to Auckland.

Ahh gotcha.
Anyway, back on topic. Would appreciate it if anyone has a viscous fan + clutch + shroud

Oh what I meant was that what particularly would make your comment earlier negligible now that you found out that it isn’t actually a stock setup.

I feel like they would suit e30s as well!

Yeah, that's a tiny aux fan... but I suppose the size doesn't matter if it's not working, Clutch fan sounds like a good idea.
Sorry to ask what may be a dumb question but apart from the obvious, what makes it different? Is it just because the aux fan on the stock e36 is bigger?
And yup it’s a very tiny fan. It does work but just wired wrong so it’s not actually getting power to the fan
-
Stunning! Especially those wheels. What are they?

Oh, just when idling for too long. Found out that the electric fan is not working so will need to re-wire it - unsure at the moment what went wrong with the wiring (problem when someone else built it). Will be pulling out the engine at some point so that’s when I’m planning to put in the viscous fan as I saw that it’s better than an electric fan (unless you upgrade to an expensive one?)
For reference this is for a m52 e30 by the way

Does anyone have a fan + clutch for a m52 that they’re willing to part with? Trying to avoid my overheating problems. Closer to Auckland the better.
Also unsure if these come with a shroud or not. If it does then would be keen on that as well
Cheers!

Does anyone have a flat screwdriver bit that’s wider than 8mm? Ideally 10+

Thanks for the offer mate but I’m not in the market for one. I realised the other day that my car actually has a tech 1 steering wheel. It’s like finding a 5 dollar note in a pocket without knowing where it came from.

A few e30 and e36 this weekend it seems. Tech 2 showed up but isn’t that steering wheel a tech 1?

Cruise control in a manual is a thing?! And I can’t believe an ‘80s car had them. I always thought my 06 jap hatchback didn’t have it because it was not modern enough. Found out now that it’s just pov hahaha
Also if you change your mind on the AC, I’ll be happy to grab that off you 😂
