Plate is GRD262 for those curious. Based on the custom plate on first registration I'd guess it was first owned by a forum member with the same username. It's pretty scruffy on the outside, but the interior isn't too bad for a 140k km car. Both wing mirrors are badly corroded internally. It looks like the auto dimming interior mirror isn't far away from leaking, too. Has the standard M clunk and usual interior rattles. Seemed to drive fine from a quick squirt around the block and down the motorway. SMG felt a tad lazy but I'm not experienced with it, so who knows... probably nothing that can't be fixed with the clutch relearning procedure or a CSL flash.

It'd be nice if it was available via standard protocols but I'd be surprised if it's not recorded, you probably just need BMW-specific tools to read it out. Tom or Josh would know for sure. I know you can read total engine hours and over-rev ranges from modern (post-1998) Porsche ECUs.

The only question that matters: how much weight does it save?
-
The thread is a year old now, but you can rock up to a controlled testing day, dates here: http://www.countiesracing.co.nz/motor-racing/13/

Nice driving, and impressive how well it changes direction on what looks like a damp surface. I'm sure the top-of-the-line Intrax race dampers and slicks help, but then again it's still carrying the full weight of the road car.
-
Ah, gotcha. Sorry!
-
The CS never had the CSL airbox.

Point under discussion is the total weight of the car, which is clearly displayed. My post even includes a conversion to kg. Go back and re-read it if you're struggling. Read the manual for the scales. There's enough information displayed to answer the rest of your questions with basic math.
-
Yeah, they're both fairly basic spec models: 6-speed manual, steel brake rotors, etc.
-
On the scales in the real world the F80 M3 is pretty similar to an E92 M3, 1615kg: The M4 is 23kg lighter.

Ah, thanks. I saw the Golden Homes M3 testing at Puke earlier this month, looked great and certainly went quick. I'll be at Puke again on the 31st in a 944, will look out for enduro E30s.

Is that the turbo S14 that was in NZPC recently?
-
Looks more like the frunk is slightly open.

Awesome cars, strangely undervalued at the moment. -
Might be a different car, I don't recall stickers but I haven't seen it around Newmarket for a few months or so... actually CarJam tells me the one I'm thinking of is black, so definitely different.
-
996.2, but just realized who you are so... I think you know the car. Not me. If it has a pplate starting with EQ I've seen the car around and it's not a GT3, just a Carrera with aerokit/GT3 wheels.

I'm heading down with a group of Porsches, I've got one of those things with the engine in the wrong place.
-
First group, will see you there!
-
I'm going. Are you in the first group or the second group?
-
9000. The new GT3 sets the standard.

Bit shy on revealing the lap time...

E9x M3 at the Playday twilight session at HD tonight. Nice colour!

What're you driving now?

Have you installed the KWv2s yet? Pics needed!
