    e34 No Spark

Does fuel pump run while cranking? If no spark, and fuel pump not running then I would suggest a crank sensor issue.
  3. I think the real question is, why is OP looking at a ford focus ghia?

    Legless

I'm not convinced he is just drunk..
  5. Exhaust or something isnt rubbing on the steering link?
  6. Yeah you can, I had problems trying to find someone who would sell me one with the plugs for it at a reasonable price. I would be surprised if the link needed any modifications to the crank pulley / triggering system, I think they can read and decode the 60-2 motronic trigger these days.
  7. You will need a 6 channel igniter for the link also

    E36 keys

If the key is EWS you should be able to split it in half and see the chip in side it.
  11. I've seen this just drag the car on to a flat bed truck before, handbrake on tyres and alarm howling.
  12. I goddamn hate towies, I don't trust them what so ever. A friend had his motorbike impounded, and stole it back a few days later.. Just walked in with his helmet on, found his bike and rode it out. Another friend had his car impounded and found his ipod and cash stolen when he got it back. It's the only thing that would piss me off / worry me about having my car impounded.
  13. No dyno yet, but I could post a data log at some point if that is of any interest. What you did with AutoCAD is exactly what I wanted to do, but could never figure it out.
  14. Also running a HX35 with 12cm non waste gated turbo here.. Does yours have the 7 or 8 blade compressor? These turbos look large, but are deceiving. Boost on my M50 comes on very quickly! That tube notcher app looks good, I used a similar one for building my manifold collector.
  15. haha damn.. looks like you already did work to fit them? Can you fit wider rubber on them ?
  16. Ok, I am open to suggestions here as this is the first time choosing a wheel / tyre combo and it is all new stuff to me. I have a m50 turbo conversion that is setup for 350 - 400whp. What sizes would you suggest to fit maximum rubber and large brake kit? I was under the impression it was easyier and also cheaper to find tyres for 17 inch wheels.. I have no problem going to a smaller wheel if it means I can fit more..
  17. Alright guys I need some advice on wheels for my automobile (e30), and im not really sure what is avaliable. Preferably they would bolt straight on with no adaptors required, but will consider using adaptors. I need to fit the widest tyre possible, I don't mind rolling the guards but I don't want to pull them out / stretch them so they look stupid They need to clear a big brake kit as this will be my next upgrade, looking at something like this (unless I can piece something together here cheaper, but this looks like a easy way bolt on option) http://massivebrakes.com/brake-systems.php..._front_332x32mm Prefer 17" wheels, because of tyre options / availability (correct me if im wrong on that). I have been looking at these: These should allow me to run 235/40/17 without too much hassle. http://www.apexraceparts.com/3-Series-BMW-E30_c_31.html They seem to fit the requirements, but I'm not sure anyone in NZ stocks them. If I order them in I figure I am looking at $2k by the time they get to my door, and I wondered if I could find something in NZ suitable for that price.

    DealExtreme

Bought heaps of stuff, quality depends on item, read the reviews. Sometimes there are similar / exact products but different quality.
  19. Pretty sure thats what he does...
  20. amazing the small differences between 2 door and 4 door E36's.
  21. they are not plug and play... you need to chop both plugs off each loom and join the m20 one to the m50 one. but before you do that, check what pin does what and make a note of it so you can connect it to the correct pin on the plug...
  22. Yeah you need to hook up about 7 of those wires. igniton feed fuel pump starter alternator oil pressure coolant temperature tachometer If you have both looms in front of you it is easy enough to figure out which goes where with a multimeter. ignition feed is usually green fuel pump is usually green with a purple stripe starter is usually black with a yellow stripe the others can vary, but you need to check them all anyway.
