Actually, that black wire could be your battery positive feed, and the red one is for your alternator. It would explain the dead short at your battery. Confirm those two wires (black and red) are for your alternator and battery positive first, if they are, connect them to the same post. (same post the red one is already connected to) Edit: I havent seen an E30 before that has an earth going to the starter. They just earth thru the block / gearbox.

Where does that black wire come from on yours? If it goes to the body, that is fine and is a earth. If it goes to the alternator, it is the wire that charges the battery and it needs to be moved to the same one the battery feed / positive goes to. Just because it is black / red does not always indicate positive / negative.

Looks fine. I would disconnect the battery and make sure you dont continuity between positive and negative.
-
You did not connect the earth to the left post did you?
-
Do not connect any earths to the starter (unless it is to the body of the starter). The second post becomes live when you try and start it. You would of created a dead short. Edit: Do you have a picture of you how you wired it? In one post you say you earthed it to the mounting bracket, and the other you say to the second terminal / post.

I don't think it was directed at Ashkan directly.

So it sounds like you wired your starter correctly. But put the battery in incorrectly. Is that what you have done? If that is the case, alot of cars have a fuse link near the battery, it is usually under some heatshrink, so have a poke around and see if you can find anything like that.

Wanking on about your own life has nothing to do with the question asked.

Kerry, from what I understand, a capacitor can deliver current faster than what a battery can if your alternator can't keep up. I.e when big bass hits, and your alternator and battery can't keep up with the current demand, the amp can get a short burst of extra power from the capacitor, the capacitor then recharges from the battery / alternator for when it is next needed. Without the capacitor the amp is likely to be drawing more than the alternator / battery can deliver and the voltage drops too low and the amp turns off / goes into protection mode. Especially at low RPM when the alternator may not be at full output. Maybe I am wrong, but that was my understanding of it.

Well it can be adjusted ( not sure if it was). But it would look lower on bigger wheels anyway.

This one time I tryed to do a hill start I hit 3rd gear and I was still going backwards.
-
Would these fit an E32? I know the stud pattern is right, but I am not familar with offsets.
-
Or stop doing roll backs.

Works fine, as long you as dont monkey up the wiring. There are so many fail storys because people just twist wires together and expect it to work.

Reverse working turbo setup
polley replied to polley's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
I think you would want to intercool the air first, as the air coming from the turbo could potentially be quite warm.
