sounds very turbo friendly. 20psi without much drama. dont need to worry bout not having 211hp then. only need to think about 400 odd ponies on the rear treads

My E30 325i turbo project
topcat replied to tiripiri's topic in Forced Induction & Performance Tuning
Hi there, the stock bottem end is good for 450-500hp.or so various forums say.(good condition block) a guy in the states has an e28 525 that sees 25psi often on a stock engine.yes he has the head off every 6 mnths, but does good numbers. it really depends on what your lump's condition is,milage etc. and how much boost you want to run i've currently got my second turbo project on the boil. if you have Q's, PM me your number ps; nice vehicle, love the wheels -
to run a 'safe' setup i recommend 6-12psi. stock internals and stock head gasket. want to go further??? dont see why you couldnt run 25-30psi, just like the jap's. but that involves a full re-build,with rods, pistons, flash HG,head studs, head mods basic rule to follow; in a perfect setup (efficient) 15psi boost = 100% more hp over factory m20 bottem ends are surposed to be good for 500hp. this is going to be a great tread,

not 100% on that front.the money put in over a lifetime wouldnt last the 10yrs+ of my retirement. cause of the low returns, interest mainly but its goverment secure,so its better then sticking in to blue chip properties but any saving plan for a nation of non-savers is better then nothing. just hope or politians dont gamble our saving on hedge funds, stock exchange etc

there's more to business then borrowing up to the eye-balls and gamble on your property values edit; 's

the sooner this country is run like a business, the better. last decade has seen the biggest increase in welfare/health spending. buracrates (spelling?) are spend and waste our tax dollars. Aunty Helen has done some good and some bad things, anti-smacking bill kiwi saver legalize prostitution working with/for families carbon credits, dont start me agree to be driven at lightning speeds to catch a game of footy genetic food debarcle fuel tax for auckland for roading, how many is that now?why only auckland? 40% of the exports come from this region(or so i'm told) a painting she didnt paint i wonder if we will hear her an apology for the times she got it wrong. not saying keys the answer to all,but has been open and quick to retract/apologize for incorrect statements etc and not blame his department or someother underling we are in for a lot of economic pain, and the goverment who is in next will have to work hard to 'keep it together'. labour has been very fortuate with the last 3 trms of economic growth

give ya 20$ for them

nice one Mike, looks like its all coming together.
