  1. Who's watched it? What do you think? I've finished season 5 and I'm addicted. Whatever u think about how staged the BS fights are those cars are freakin fast and they know how to drive them.
  2. those guys are hilarious. but don't take them serious or listen to anything they say.
  3. iWhere did u find them?
  4. Filmed in the South Island? Some amazing gadgets that remote park is straight up James Bond
  5. It's the same as before but from what I can tell in my short drive it's just better in everyway. Faster gear changes Nice little blip on downshifts Smoother low rpm changes
  6. CSL gearbox ecu upgrade - seriously worthwhile
  7. cheers Michael. Yes it was a bit of a find. I paid waay to much for it. But in 10 years f**k it who cares.
  8. summers coming....

  9. life is choice bro. then you buy a convertible M car. Just before summer. Then realise the SMG is a slug... Then Ray informs you there's a fix for that... Life IS choice bro.
  10. Well that sucks. I bought the same thing off them a couple of years ago. No problems.
  11. Keen on selling the hood scoop? I wanna stick on my BMW make it go broom broom. I feel ya man. Soon as you cell goes on a auction its free game for people to SMS the craziest offers. I had 1 guy on my X5 wanting to buy it for 10k under market and then put wider wheels on it. It has 315's on the back. wider?? FFS.
  12. no worries at all. Yes I did use. it was on the crease line on the door I wasn't holding out much hope TBH. But I was pleasently surprised with the results. I could still see it. But i'm a nut case. You never would see it unless you were looking, and had to get your face close to the car and look down the crease. All in all. Amazing. Was like $140 bucks if I recall and he did it in my work garage in a few hours. For that price it's worth the try even if he failed!
  13. Anyone recommend a good place for wheel alignments? I work in Ellerslie area.
  14. I've ended up passing on the car. I couldn't confirm all service actions had been completed. But it does pose an interesting question. If there is a service action on a car. Will it drop off the BMW system after a period of time if not completed? And on the flipside. If the action is completed. Is no service actions displaying against the VIN a confirmation that all service actions have been addressed? Mr BMW was less than helpful when I asked directly. They could only confirm what was outstanding. Not what had been done. For clarity this was for a July 2002 built M3 and service action SIB 110404 (the engine bearing)
  15. I'm getting a PPI inspection done. I've called them and they have confirmed for the PPI they don't check BMW for the service notifcations. I've called BMW to check ..... their receptionist couldn't find the car in their system. Now i'm waiting for a call back. Anyone know a easy way to check if a BMW has had all the required service actions?
  16. +1 crate training from day 1. Best thing we ever did.
  17. Even the turbo ones are reliable if well looked after... My GTR racecar broke something on almost every outing. Mostly due to too much power. Yet my mates v5 WRX with a standard RA spec block and just bolt on's we did in his garage never broke down once. Like anything performance, they get a rep from badily maintained, hard driven, badily modified crowd. Yes the EJ has some weak points... but no-where near as many as a RB does!
  18. as a benchmark. I sold my last M5 last year for $35k and there was plenty of interest in it. It was just on 100k and MINT. Full BMW history. NZ new. Factory clutch is very light. Too light in most cases and they tend to start to slip with the engine torque fairly easily. Its def a epic alrounder. I would have kept mine if it fit down my stupid driveway. Still regret selling it...
  19. I've owned E39 M5's for the past 9 years. No issues as a daily as long as you don't mind driving a manual in your daily commute. Finding one in reasonable condition that doesn't need lots of work will be your hardest task. Well maintained ones are great everyday cars.
  20. Yes wife loves it. The engine light issue is fixed and it runs great now. I guess if you are used to a V8M3 that's probably a fair comment. But it's quick enough for most situations I find. ....And I get 1000km out of the tank. yeah the sunroof was the reason I bought it. It's pretty awesome in summer for sure!
  21. Special edition furr seats no doubt
