    random e39 M5 stuff

I'm asking for offers around $4k since they have $2k's worth of Goodyear tyres on them with less than 800km on them.

well I've had three ppl tell me they will take the shift knob, how do I make that fair? I'd rather these parts goto bimmersport members...... but hey if you'd all prefer I will start an trademe auction, then you can bid against randoms. I thought the point of this section was to give you fella's first dibs?

it seems there is a few people interested in the same parts. So I'll run this like an auction. Highest bidder wins. PM me your bids on which parts.

this is a system that allows M cars not have to carry a spare (because they wont fit in the boot). It's a combo unit that will fill the tyre with a substance to seal any punture and a air pressure system that will re-inflate the tyre. It's designed to get you home. http://www.bmw-m.net/Reviews/m_mobility.htm

I know....but most of these parts are clogging up my garage. I'm not going to use them again. But I wont be giving the wheels away....someone will have to make a good offer for those.
  7. Hi,, thought I would throw it out there if anyone want's this stuff..... PM me. All E39 BMW M5 OEM equipment -light blubs (high / fog / angle eyes) - all working -6sp M manual shift knob with light, normal wear -manual gear shifter -front disc's - will probably need milling but well within tollerance -chrome grill -M audio kevlar speakers (front & rear) with plastic molded box's -18" shadow chrome wheels with Goodyear assymetrical tyres (90%+ tread) -airfilters -medical kit (unused) -M mobility unit (unused)
  8. whilst welly's is normally better traffic wise, this morning a truck overturned on the porriua motorway blocking traffic. Everyone was then diverted over the hayways hill (54) and I hear a car went off the road there too. Nice. wellington chaos due to two accidents. what the hell would happen in a REAL emergency? And yet they jack up the petrol excise every chance they get and blame the road toll on speeding and drink driving.
  9. Hi Nick, Yes these are plug and play (2min job) and so far haven't thrown up any error messages on my OBC. Plus they look wicked good, a real nice intense white light. simon's right.....But don't go blue! unless you want attention from the blue brigade and issues come wof time. Let me know if you want my old blubs at this point I wouldn't go back if these don't last I will go for Ultizma's or whatever they are called. The plug is the one in the centre of your headlights.
  10. I wouldn't recommend paint, even with the best job the first stone chip reveals the silver and looks really bad. I bought mine off ebay but there was a fella on trademe selling them too. eurolights http://www.trademe.co.nz/Members/Listings....?member=1393793
  11. BMW will probably charge $100 for a single new blub.
  12. but seriously. I have the new F1 assymetricals on my factory wheels and loved them. I then upgraded to 19"s and went for the Bridgestone Adrenalins. Equally as good. can't comment on wear as neither set has done more than 5000k but grip is comparable. With the bridgie's cheaper I'd buy them again.
  13. Assymetrical for sure. Directionals don't work in reverse.
  14. come to think of it I still have my old ones too! haha! price war!
  15. most likey blub, good chance to update to LED! I picked up these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-310906491.htm super happy with them. Awesome upgrade over factory..... Not sure where you would get a factory blub, or how much they would be but I would say more than the $100 for the LED's
  16. This is all factory unmoddified gear. The only change has been ipod / DICE and speaker upgrade. I think the factory amp was never meant to have such sensitive speakers so wasn't a problem before. I can deal with the hiss it was only really audiable when I was working in the car in the garage, driving you don't notice. I agree an high end amp may solve but not worth the $ IMO. Thanks for the input anyway mate. Differing opinions are what make forums.
  17. How about removing the race-cell from the boot, leave the power & ground wires live and sparking in the boot?? I was like WTF???
  18. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-305675071.htm if I only had the money.... Anyone know why this 850 has a 840 front bumper and mirrors or just a refit?
  19. it's probably just hanging on something. Clear your cache and try again. If it keeps happening just reload.
  20. right yes of course. sweeet. new project! Thanks!!
  21. I've been reading a few older posts and stumbled on this... quote jochen... Some E38s had the AV wired to the AV socket at the rear of the centre console, some did not. If your's didn't, just fit an AV cable to the AV input on the white connector of the video module (in boot next to CD changer) You can connect ANY standard composite video AV signal - iPod, Playstation, WII, Camera, etc. I used my iPod Video to play movies in my E39 with the same system. It was fantastic, and I could have 100 movies on my iPod... My iPod was in my glovebox, I cabled the AV input to RCA connectors above the glovebox for flexibility. I also used a iPod docking cable, so the iPod was charging and playing at the same time. So I have a ipod video in my glovebox with a DICE unit already working. If I wanted to play video through to this I can run an AV line from my glovebox back to pin 6 white plug? Then I would have to get a ipod cable with AV in? and manually switch them when I wanted to watch something? or is there a better way?

    Gran Turismo 5

been hanging out for this game since GT4
  23. Installed mine on monday and I'm pretty happy with it. A reasonable job to get the wire nicely through the factory rubber conduit. But after that Grant's instructions were enough for a amature sparky like me to get working. thanks Grant. A great product that works well! Highly recommended for anyone with little ones, or a fast moving puppy like me!
