Nobody's holding a grudge. You're the only one breaching the rules.

Yeah, from the pics it looks like a huge difference and yeah, I should've got the dealer to sort it but stupidly didn't. Oh well, pay for your mistakes. Learn for the future - Surely many more cars in the future to come so better now than down the road

Haha yeah. Should be good. Question: In the threads (American) they have something called "Goo Gone" Is this available in NZ? What substitutes are there? Isopropyl I'm guessing ... Going to call by Placemakers on the way home also to get some other stuff so I'll try pick some up there. Finally starting work soon too after exams! New wheels on their way soon then!

Hi guys My front windshield rubber is looking pretty tacky, falling apart so I'm going to replace it. I took the car to BM Workshop and they said that the windscreen would have to come off and they'd send it to Smith and Smith and quoted upwards of $300.00 I decided to do some research and found this thread: http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/e39-m5-e5...eplacement.html I've ordered the part from Team McM, picking it up tomorrow after my exam and will install it tomorrow afternoon. I'll do a write-up for you guys as well. Part number is 51 31 8 159 784 Costs $116.50 or something incl. GST which is a bit more than the $40 odd that the yanks are paying but oh well. Will finish this off tomorrow.

Have you decided against the E39 overall? I'm driving an E39 530i Msport and I love it. I was considering a 3 series or a 5 series and after comparing prices and driving the 5 (in my mind) came out on top (I also prefer the drive) I picked my car up for 16K with 55,000kms on it about 2 months ago. So that's comparable pricing to the 320 with the dog in the photo. If you haven't already give an E39 a drive, even better if you can drive it back to back with an E46. My 2c, Oh and welcome to Bimmersport! -
I'll wait 7 years.

This looks great!

Tint-a-Car Christchurch pops to mind. Fairly sure they have an outlet there. In saying this you will likely be paying a fair bit've dosh. When I asked for a quote for my 318Ti I was given a figure of around $400.00 for their "Midnight Express" tint.

MAN H0 - I saw your iconic car (seeeexxxyyy!) as I was walking down Queen St. around 10pm tonight. I thought you were about to park so I waited and was going to say hi but somebody ran into your car and I was like wow awkward and left haha! Pink checked shirt - that was me haha I wonder if you recall Me and my mates eyeballed your car.
