I'm quite a fan of the frozen blue too.
-
Think I know the guy that owns that. Looks bloody good.

Thanks Ashkan. If I decide to go this route I'll have a chat with them but at this stage doesn't look like a go. Never know though ...

Definitely need an SSD here. My mate's got one and his computer is WAAY faster

It comes down to priorities. I wouldn't go drilling holes in the back box of a car I'd just bought... Like you said, pretty hori! I went to Woolfe Mufflers on Dominion Rd, Auckland (don't know where you're based) They did my E39 exhaust for $400, incl. twin tips I'm sure you could get change out for $500 for something that sounds nice. How badly do you need a sound upgrade? How badly do you want the V8 rumble? Do these come before any repairs that may be needed?

I've always been die-hard Windows. But I'm on my second Mac now. The thing is, it drives me CRAZY. Being a student, most of the University IT programs I use for my degree require Windows, so I either have to do it at Uni or use my girlfriend's computer. I'm at the point where I'm going to go back to Windows in the next month ... I like Macs because of the aesthetic and ease of use, everything else is a PITA. Out of interest... What have people been doing to get viruses on their Mac?

Although I'm not married, I can tell you if I made such an unauthorised acquisition I'd be in a similar situation!
-
Ahh. That's why it looked so familiar there!

GLWS. Style 5s are tits.
-
You've driven a 530?
-
It wasn't Chris, but regardless it would probably be handy if you could PM me his number. Might just have my dream car. Yep, in any case I can't do anything until my E39 moves on so that gives me more time to find the right M3. Thanks

I've just taken the dip off one wheel because I had to get the tyre puncture repaired and when they took the tyre off the wheel it screwed the dip. Looks stupid with 3 others black, but I like the alloy again! Underneath... So pristine, like the day I cleaned them before dipping. Quite amazing really! Do you want to buy it QUBE. We could make a deal

Spotted a rare, one of a kind BMW... ... Honda
-
Thanks, I think I'll take the dip off the wheels and take some new photos. And ditch the M-sport stripe photos.

Valid I'm sure it's fine and I've just texted him regarding it.

I drove the white one, it was a sack of sh*t. Felt like it has been abused every day for its whole life, which is sad. It also has been totally repainted. Original colour is black. It very obviously isn't the original colour (the paintwork has rippling, texture, etc.) The black one at the same place I didn't even drive. I don't feel comfortable buying a car that has been "done up" by previous owners. In that particular example, I didn't like the fact the owner felt the need to put a big spoiler on, change the steering wheel, rear diffuser from memory. That blue one I've seen on TM. I wrote it off for some reason but upon reconsideration I'll go have a look this weekend. In regards to the "grey" one you mentioned, was that the silver one that belonged to the young dealer, Scott, on the forum. I think he had an Evo prior. Might go have a look at it as the mileage is good. In saying this, he's moving it on pretty soon after buying it. ... I wonder why

Nope, did a fixed price offer but will relist today .

Anyone interested?

Have seen them fetching more than that. They're a good unit.

'Probably the best looking E39 540i in NZ...'

To be, or not to be. That is the question. -
My Mum just picked one of these up new. It's 2l diesel as well. From the brief drive I had I liked it. Of course, it's not a car I'd buy for myself but she's happy so whatever. I preferred the M class she had prior though.
