    FS: 2005 E60 M5

Now listed as an auction: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1257025891&ed=true Feel like I'm giving it away But..... best value E60 M5 on TM - in my biased opinion!

Buy this one and find out . I would argue that it already is Watch this space if you are seriously considering an E60 M5...

A new priority forces sale so now asking $26k on Trade Me. Or $25k for any Bimmersport member. Link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1156902554 PM me if you're interested. Cheers.
  4. Welcome. I really like what you've done to the 130i. And that colour is awesome!
  5. Approx 25kms each way. Mon-Thurs its about 40min each way. Fridays @ 25 mins each way give or take :-)

Cheers! Kinda contemplating do I take a chance and try for a trade in deal for the e39 M5 at Tradin Post... Not sure if I'm prepared to be offended by any potential 'trade in' they may offer haha. Or maybe take a chance with a $1 reserve auction hmmmmmmm

Yip knew exactly what you meant - it certainly deserves to be used more than what it has been .

Yip that's me - Didn't realise my profile says Wellington. Considering to Porirua has ben in the local news lately for developers promoting 'Wellington harbour' views I glad to say I'm Porirua born and raised! Sorted now Elijah - Your thoughts on the M5?

Listed on Trade Me for $29,995 ono but If anyone one here is interested I will be willing to do a special price. Details in link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1156902554&ed=true Cheers!
  14. I am oh sooo tempted believe me
  15. Cheers, appreciate all your thoughts. Agree E39 M5's have been few and far between over the last 5 years or so. Then in 2016 there seemed to be a plethora of them. Kicking myself all these M5's have come up for sale after purchasing my e60 M5. Now if someone was to buy my M5 I tomorrow this example would be in my driveway on Saturday. The likelihood of that happening - zilch
  16. Martin- having extensive experience with e39 M5's and now having seen this one - in your opinion do you think its worth the $25k they're asking? Just curious
  17. IMO - Just friggin awesome!
  18. Been chilin' over the last couple of days and came across this. I'm a bit of a fan of the Wheeler Dealer show and enjoyed this instalment, besides the butchered YouTube editing...
  19. Slightly cheaper than the $29,995 it was listed for a month or so ago . Nice NZ new example.
  20. I have heard about this particular enthusiast and their collection of 8's - if it is one of theirs then agree this is probably a well looked after example despite the kms (TBH the kms don't put me off as I think when vehicles are getting to this age kms becomes a bit irrelevant - its how its been maintained that is key IMO). Not quite in the market just yet but this is very tempting! Ticks a number of boxes for me though...
  21. Wondering if the E39 M5 has hit the bottom of their 'market value'. The last two $1 reserve M5's went for @ $17.5k and $18.5k. One other E39 M5 on TM at the mo for $22.5k. I would say this one's worth a gamble - damn if only I was in the market!
  22. Manual conversion anyone? Hang on - the big-end bearings might need doing so it could be a lemon
  23. Not thinking - will eventually be back in an 8. I get to see my old one now and then and every time I wish I never sold it! So either I buy my one back or look for an '8 Series project' haha. Thanks for the info ssbmw - I agree seems to be a very nice NZ new example except for the spoiler. I thought it was an early production. A post '94 8er doesn't come up too often and reasonable at $16k I think.
  24. Tempting... http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1211481938.htm I recall this being listed about 2 years ago asking for mid-twenties. It was listed for quite a while. Seems like not much has changed in the interim - mileage and photos are the same hmmmm... I'm curious if anyone knows this car or has any information on it.
  25. Try 16.4l and 26 cylinders: E60 V10 M5 - horrendousL/100km. HSV Avalanche 5.7 V8 - ridiculousL/100km. Holden Monaro CV 5.7 - verypleasantcamparedtotheother2butnowherenearyoursL/100km But the noise and power more than makes up for it What's even better fun is switching to 'range 'and watching it reduce before your eyes haha!
