Hey guys, Got some new unused parts here, http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=741325465 $75 for the two rear 1/4 seals and 2x lower trim piece, both are prone to failing and leaking on the E36 coupes, and can look unsightly if perished! Genuine BMW. PM me. Cheers Mike.

X brace sold
-
Correct. I like the lowest cylinder to HP ratio as possible
-
Agreed haha! But in my defence, I'm just simply over it, while it has it's good aspects, Its just not become nor wont be the car I'm after. Just not into the E36 like I once was It's been fun though, I just dont see how I can have any more fun with it. The amount of valuable stuff I've learned from doing such a project has been the best thing to come out of it. I can't wait to get cracking into the next project.
-
Started to dismantle it!
-
Guys that is a 5 cylinder turbo Probably a RS3 or something.
-
Possibly, are you just needing front shtocks only, no M3 knuckles?
-
Can do. $50?

Shocking.

Yeah buddy, crx del sol time.

The E31 is already a wide body thing!
-
??? It has been in my car for closer to 15,000kms of driving around. Now I'm going to take out the key conversion parts to hopefully sell, all in 100% serviceable condition.
-
Nope, only 20,000ks on V8 setup as above. Cars done 214,000ks. Yes yes, I shall keep next project hush hush for now. Perhaps a BMW, perhaps not.

Hey Guys! I've had fun with this, but now seeking different things from my project car so parting the E36 out and returning it to a stock specification Looking at around $3500... I feel that is a fair price with the work put in and materials cost. See info below! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=740461427 Engine mount redesign.bmp

Thanks buddy

I saw that race 8 series at Concourse. Quite nice, very loud.
-
Drove it

Haha, how much would you consider for such parts? With such items, theres obviously the material costs, but also development costs and fabrication time to consider. This is what you would get: Not pictured: 1x Power Steering high pressure line, 1x driveshaft parts suited for automatic. 1x Subframe with engine mounts and brackets: 1x 10mm gearbox mount setup for auto trans mount. Custom 4-2-1 1.5" primary headers, 4.00mm thick walls, with HPC coating. Custom 2.25" stainless mid section to axle, H pipe, Magnflow cats, magnaflow mid muflers, no rear box. All of the above was derived through CAD development.

Welcome mate, smart looking car!
-
Could work in a compact or any e36 based car, they are all rather similar at the front end. Couldn't guarantee though Not sure what all those parts would be worth. I know what they owe me roughly + time.
-
Haha, I'm thinking no BMWs next time. If I part the car out, who wants to buy the E36-1UZ conversion kit for their own project? Haha, includes: Engine mounts and brackets on OEM E36 subframe Gearbox mount (suits auto, or manual with minor changes) Toyota drive-shaft to BMW shaft suiting 4 or 5 speed Toyota Auto (manual would require new half shaft) Custom 4-2-1 headers with HPC coating Dual stainless 2.25" exhaust with H pipe, magnalfow HF cats and mid mufflers to dual flanges at diff area (excludes rear box) Any hands on car person could do the rest of the work easily enough with those key parts that are very time consuming to make nicely

Already done all those When I say chassis, I guess I just don't like the way it rides, while it handles quite well because of its 1300-1400kg weight, it still feels a bit flimsy over the rough stuff, harder suspension will do that I guess, perhaps it would be better suited to the track. I find driving a well sorted 5 series or 3 series e46 it tends to show up the age of the E36 chassis and the era it came from. Not to say it's bad I'm just really fussy and a bit OCD.
