Really........

I would run away quite frankly. Depends what you're wanting but a 6k 7er limo is not going to be problem free. You'd need to overhaul the suspension, and various electrics, and contend with any engine issues. Not exactly fun motoring... With such a car you're better off spending twice as much for a good one with full service history. IMO anyhow.

hahahahahahaha. That is all.

Great work, doing those front links on an E34 is mandatory really.

Awesome work! So Castrol Syntrax Limited Slip 75W140 is the way to go for the LSD Diff? Where can one find such a product as I dont think the usual stores stock it.

I think cats should be kept, firstly you avoid the annoying smell without them and secondly they act like small resonators taking some harshness of the exhaust noise. If they are in good condition power losses would be negligible. Best case scenario IMO would be to put an M3 mid section in, and have it adapted to your rear muffler, I did this on my old 325i, it sounded awesome!

Expecting air bags to work perfectly in a 10+ year old car is quite optimistic. From what I've seen they either fail to go off at all or have a delayed response time.

I see this car daily, very very nice.

I believe he said 8k if I recall correctly

I'll help with a 1UZ-E92 swap if you like? Will be a bit grandpa spec performance wise though unless we put a dirty great twin screw supercharger on.

Divide that price by 1/2 and then we might have a deal.

Finally cracked a 1/4 mile time of 13.9 @ 98 mph in the V8 E36! Also did 11 other runs ranging between 97-99 mph; 14.005... 14.041... 14.046... 14.086... 14.093... 14.187... 14.188... 14.194... 14.210... 14.473... 14.485... Then I got bored... Clearly I need more power & torque to push on into the low-mid 13s! Video of the 13.9 sec run... I was somewhat joyful upon reading my slip

Happy birthday, officially time for an 8 series!

That is pretty awesome

I'd take them to HPC, see what they can advise. With those covers you would want a mint job as it's seems to be a surface that likes to deteriorate easily over time with the heat.

Very sweet looking example! Bet it goes as good as it looks. -
Thanks Jon. Besides a bit of fun, just using it for a comparison to the 1UZ V8 for a possible M62 - E36 conversion down the road. Its the easiest way to plan and design what is required down to +/- 0.50mm

Yeah they are big bastards. Definitely bigger but only by a couple of inches tops. Cheer Jase!

Been drawing up an M62B44 V8 on CAD, so far got the heads mostly done, less intake ports, but the exhaust ports are all there with accuracy. Have yet to detail the block, get the mounting points etc. Big thanks to Ray for supplying these items for the job!

Could you PM me the link? Cheeeerss

Awesome purchase Rod! Take care of the car and you'll really enjoy it. Great machine and those wheels are perfectly suited, mine old 540i had some too, looked fantastic, but needed lowering at the back.

Awesome Mod No.1 - Tow bar delete?
-
Mmmmm Toy. Did the front bumper get any stone chips?

Such a great machine!
