  1. Just so I'm clear, did you buy the car from them or just get the check done there? If you didn't buy it there, then surely the selling dealer is up for this? Why not try and go half each from them? Cheap fix for both and good pr.
  2. I'm about 95% certain PISH or P1SH is black.
  3. Sorry to hear about your car, brief hijack though. Is that Lexus powered E34 white with a facelift front on it and tan leather?

    Had a gutsfull!

To be fair, you've really only had it 6 weeks. . . . . . Go the Touareg I think, the LR 3 is made by the same people, otherwise a Land Cruiser.
  5. A Z3 M coupe race car being towed by an X6 on the NW this morning. Driven by Ray Charles.
  6. I assume that's the same one that was for sale back in Feb. The paint looked rubbish to me.
  7. It's still hideously ugly and the wheel arch vents appear to have been stolen from my mothers Supra.
  8. No, you don't have to remove the head rests.
  9. Buy Trevor Crowes Subaru Justy. That is awesome with a capital O.
  10. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-250004045.htm This.
  11. We get a baby, now toddler out of the back of the E30, it's a piece of cake if you have any semblance of upper body strength. My partner is 53kg and she can pull him in and out.
  12. Whoops, my mistake, as you were.
  13. As said above, a 328i is the way to go and your budget would (I expect) easily cover a Msport kitted leather auto sedan. If your Altezza wagon was a 3 litre though, don't expect more grunt, you're losing 20+ kw and torque.
  14. Bugger. What's the solution then?
  15. Anyone? Someone must know.

  17. Are there any factory mounts for these in an E30? I know there are in a coupe, as we've just had it installed, what about the cabbie??
  18. Sitting in his garage until he can afford a stronger diff, it ate the last one and started on the gear box. it's pretty amusing to ride in.
  19. Greg will know my mate Anthony's car, he rebuilt the motor. Weber Specs aren't cheap, but they did the carbs on his 205 also.
  20. Although it seems like complete overkill, Weber Specialties in Glenfield. 443 5638.
  21. Actually, the performance figures (to 100km/h at least) are probably slightly in the Subbies favour, but it won't feel like it. I've driven a CLK55AMG and it's areally nice quick car, feels quite brutal. I've also had an extended drive in an S55 Kompressor and that's another league again. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the E55 as long as you remember it's a big sedan, not a go kart. And I wouldn't go within 10 feet of it without a comprehensive check and warranty. $1300 for a seat switch, $1600 for a sunroof switch, $2500 for a radiator fan, etc etc.

    Clutch?

Yip. Freshly back with a new (unbent) valve, two reseated valves, head gasket, frost plugs, exh manifold gasket, studs, head bolts, adjusted tappets, cam belt, tensioner, water pump, oil and filter. Desperately needs some body TLC tbh, but it's driving well.
