I had EBC Greens in my EVO at manifield, they were evil (the not good kind). They were very hard on the discs esp. when they got hot, felt like hard core grinding. I wouldn't use the greens on the track again!!! On my 323gtx I used bendix metal kings at Taupo, and they were fade free for 15 50second laps, started to get a bit spongy at the end but I think that was more the fluid than the pads. Whats best is, they are so cheap, if you don't like them it doesn't matter. I'll be running OE porsche pads when I make it to the intermarque.

Holy 4wd E30's batman!! sorry, couldn't help it. Nice work, Looks good.
-
Some of these should help. Oh, sorry, not quite E30 pads are they. I should have the rears on and a LSD ready for the intermarque and maybe some sticky V700's, fingers crossed.

Hi Sam, Yes they are the compact arms, so all the brake line fit the E30 (E36 7/8's don't). The E30 shocks & springs for sale above. Rear brakes are 272x10. [OT] Front E36 M3 discs are ~$240ea, but you need a M3 hub & caliper (if you can find a pair)!! Much better off using E46 330i front brakes they are 325x25 @ $125ea and the calipers bolt onto any E36 hub (except M3's) and they use the same pads as an M3 (calipers are hard to find, maybe OZ?). Failing that E46 328i discs are 300x22 and also bolt on, normal E36's are 286x22 (still alot better than the 260x22 of the E30), Complete E36 front hubs are ~$150ea from a wrecker (cheapest part of the 5lug swap). [/OT]

Hi Guys. I have some bits forsale: Complete E30/36 5lug rear assembly. This includes urethane trailing arm & subframe bushes (1mth old) and hand brake cables if req'd. Comes with a Medium case diff (3.46, 3.64 or 3.91 your choice) & axles. It is all fully assembled all you need to do is bolt it in (3 bolts) and connect the brake hoses & cables. $1100ono (FYI If you ring around you'd be lucky to get the trailing arms only for that!!) A must have if you are a track junkie that needs bigger brakes (in combination with fronts of course). New E30 Rear Koni shocks. These were special order SP1 models not the normal "Sports". They have different rebound valving than the sports (so I've been told) to suit road and track use. These were used for 1mth also. $300ono (or $400 with springs below) New E30 Rear King Springs (Super Low) Don't be put off by the "super low" as they aren't that low. The rear ride height on my E30 was 330mm (from the wheel centre to the arch) nb. pre-FL arches. 1mth old also $150ono New E36 Rear Koni Springs (40mm drop) These came with my coilover kit, never been used. Don't know what rate they are but they look beefy. $200ono Parts for sale soon: 5spd Conversion kit for a M20 (E30) It is from a '86 320i that has done ~150k Will come with pedal box, clutch lines, shifter assembly, driveshaft, flywheel & clutch, everything you need. It is still in the car but will pull out if needed asap. $600ono Thats all I can think of for now so drop me a PM if you are keen on anything. And if you are wondering why I'm pulling out a 1mth old rear end, it's 'cause I can't find a f*#king LSD so I have to move on and DIY it (E28 backend with a supra LSD) what a PITA!!!

someone should organise a GB of Sparco bars!! They are by far the best for the e30, being a 1pc design with no hinges or joins makes them V.stiff (they also have additional fastening points on the sides of the strut towers), and they are cheap, ~$110US.
-
They must be the wrong offset Evan!!I had 225/45's on my 16x7" et28 wheels (now on Lewis's FL E30), they fit fine front & rear with on rubbing at all. I now have 245/40 17's on the rear and I needed to roll the guards for them to fit.

could at least take the S&M gear off her before you got there Andy

Hi Darren, The biggest E36 rotors are 315x28mm (M3's $240ea (not-floating ones)) E46 rotors fit (same offset) the bigger 2 being 330i @ 325x25mm ($125ea = cheap) and the M3 @ 328x28mm ($500ea = not cheap!!). I'm using TT JZA80 supra rotors 324x30mm ($125ea = V.cheap), slightly less offset than the bmw ones (50mm), but alot thicker than the 330i rotors and they are directional "for increased cooling" bullshit!! Just had to drill a 2nd set of holes @ 5x120 & increase to the centrebore to suit. I will prolly use the 330i front rotors on the rear when I put the 4pots on. Got that ECU in yet??
-
yeah, they are growing on me too!! I didn't like them at first.I think it is 'cause they are 8" wide ones, most you see are only 7" wide so the spokes stick out alot more than on mine!?!?!

Thanks guys. Why is it that PC's make images look like shite??? Or is it just my monitor??? They look real dark, but looked awesome at home on the Mac!?!?!?! Not looking good for the megameet, the rear universal has deteriated rapidly over the weekend, so I'll see if I can get it fixed this week.

Washed the car earlier tonight, went for a cruise, got it covered in bugs, gutted!! Got some pics anyway.
-
only in terms of the booster & associated linkages!!!At the wheels they are the same as LHD M3's
-
The wagon has porsche wheels!! Weird!! Must have those dodgy 4x100-to-5x130 adaptors, nasty!!!
-
Exactly the same!!If one turned up on my door step tomorrow it could be in and running in time for a saturday night cruise

The TT 2.5 isn't like the 3.0 'cause both spool-up at once unlike the 3.0l where it does one then the other. The W58 will handle upto ~400rwhp, of course you have to be nice to it, if you drive like a monkey you could break it with 200rwhp. (mine is a late model W58 from a JZA80, which have bigger bearing etc...). I have a friend with a JZZ30 soarer running a single turbo, uses it for D1, abuse etc... and he is running a W57 and it is holding up well. For a TT 1UZ I'd be seriously looking for a R154, they don't shift nicely (based of a truck GB) but are V.strong (not indestructable), I think there is one forsale on trademe $1000 just been rebuilt with new gearsets or something. You can pick up most W series GB's from places like Pick-A-Part for under $100, if you get in quick (ie, if you see one, send someone to get some tools!!).

Thanks for the reply chris, I bought a some E36 Koni Coilovers instead.
-
Kewl, Thanks.Quite small MC's (not that it matters really as they suit the calipers). Is that the 500hp rated GT30?? What rpm do you see full boost?? Might have to get one for the 1JZ, 400rwhp would be easy and plenty I think. BTW: Thanks for sharing the info.
-
Andrew, You know you should just get Dan to cut out the hole rear towers and put bigger stronger ones in, then you can run rear coilovers!!! Nasty though
-
PM Sam (E34-535ti) He just fixed his stereo issues and will be able to help. ps. the amp is in the boot, LH side.
-
Kewl thanks. With what size MC's?? I presume you have a balance bar also. Sorry, just curious. Is 0.86 not too big for a 2L?? 0.86 is often used for 2.5's RB25's & 1JZ's (like mine). At least you'll have the luxury of anti-lag with the autronic, mmmmm, bang bang.
-
V.interesting!!! Do you have any pics of your pedal box (or know what model it is)?? Turbine HSG size 0.86??
