  1. FYI. My sisters E36 has 225/45 R17's (38 offset) and they don't rub at all.
  2. I've got the exact same tyres on the E30, I think they are great.Definitely the nicest I've driven on (and quite), then maybe the Goodyear GS-D3 or Toyo T1-S.

    Wheel offset

Not once you have done a 5-lug swap
  4. E30-323ti

    Wheel offset

40'ish (35-50 range depending on width)
  5. That odd they rub, what is the wheel offset?? Go see BMW, in the ETK there is a steering stop that you can buy (optional part for E36's fitted with Msport 17"wheels & suspension), I think they are ~$60. They reduce your turning circle, but not rubbage.

I've got 245/40 rears (which also fit on the front fine). 265's would fit on the rear, you would need the perfect offset not to rub though, prolly a 17x9" et47 'ish. 235's are a bit Fat for 7" rims, much tyre roll??

V.Interesting 17x7's aye, I thought they looked skinny in you other pic post. What size tyres have you squeezed onto them?? Loose the bling and get some real wheels/tyres in there. Whats the funny thing hanging off the front of the turbo??

    333 Turbo

ThanksThere has been some minimization of the allowable rotation of the factory differential (READ : Locked Diff) :pimp: until a suitable replacement can be found or I go to england and get one myself Sorry again proper pictures will come tomorrow kinda havent proved the engines in there yet have I! :banghead: LOL, understeer city then cronic oversteer mixed with a bit of CV destroying action. All good fun

    735 parts

I don't think it is Gus, Mines from a E32 750i. Get a brand new one, not that $$$, and no hassles.

It's an old '79 E23 (white) I believe. I think you need the AFM from the Motronic E32 for the AFM Swap, at least for the motronic guys that is.
  12. The price I was quoted for the Quaife unit is $1660 from Palmside in Chch. The quaife will have a lock-up rate not a %, being a torsen it varies from open to fully locked!! the rate at which it does that can be specified 5:1 or 3:1 I think it is. I also got prices from Dan @ diffsonline in the US, For a 40% 2clutch LSD Centre it was $950US shipped ($1600nz incl GST) For a 40% 4clutch LSD Centre it was $1250US shipped ($2100nz incl GST) Matt, have you spoken to GAC lately about rebuilding the BMW LSD?? When I spoke to graham he told me BMW not longer supplies the clutch plates & shims and he needs to get them made, when the lock up is increased he also adds a second set of shims & plates, the cost for a rebuild was ~$500, to rebuild & increase the lock-up was ~$900. That on top of the initial $600 & Do that every couple of years. OUCH. All fun and games!!!
  13. Around the windscreen?? I think it is about $100 by a windscreen place (smith&smith ect...) They pull it out and put a new one in, mine are brown too. Some Hartge (Ian) know's had it done recently.
  14. The other thing to remember is GST, anything valued over $400nz(incl shipping costs) gets hit. I was in comunication with KAAZ in the US, they can do a LSD centre for ~$1990. Before you all choke, this is a brand new race spec unit, not some 2nd hand worn out BMW LSD centre which only has 2 clutch plates & 25% lock-up.
  15. I have a pair of rear Koni Springs, they came with my E36 coilover kit. Looking for $200ono shipped to cover the crappy soft King Springs I had to buy.
  16. http://www.retrotech.orcon.net.nz/BMW.html http://zymo.homemail.com.au/bmw.htm
  17. I've got a 5th gear vidi comparing the m3 & m3 CSL around anglesea race track.
  18. The stub axles that the inner CV's bolt on to (and go into the diff) are interchangable. However, there should be no gears (spider gears I presume) visible, just the crown wheel if it is still attached to the centre.
  19. From what I have read they need the front mainseal or main bearing part of the crank enlarged to suit the M20 block, not a bolt in but can be fitted.Have a search on the US forums, I think IE used S50 cranks in their 3.0l stroker kits!?!?!
  20. Not at all, anyone with a M50/52 could use this bottom end, with a bit of porting & cam work a M50 head would be fine, similar theme to the Schintzer S3.Or some one with a M20 wanting to build a beast 3.0l stroker could use the crank. The add sounds odd though as a 3.0l & 3.2l use different cranks & rods!?!?!
  21. Andrew, It must be some pretty serious rust to even contemplate re-shelling!!! Pics?? Or are you being super-anal about it!?!?! homy or some-one up your way would be able to do a mint repair job, esp. if it isn't in a visible place (ie. not the middle of a door panel!!). Just bear in mind if you fork out $$$ to re-shell it then back out of you drive and get T-boned by your grandma, or at your first track day, you're are going to be super pissed!!!
  22. OT:same size rotors, but they have cast iron 4pot calipers. E32 735i's have 302x28's if you wanted a small upgrade to fit under your 15's.
  23. Just wait till the rears go on, They are just as big
  24. It looks like a minter Brent. Does it have a LSD??
