  2. The electric fan was not designed to do all the cooling, I wouldn't remove the viscious fan.

    Thats what my Dad told me when i asked him about them a while back.He said the can't be too "sh*t hot" if only Mazda is using them. Actually a number of companies have license agreements with NSU to produce rotary engines, but only Toyo Kogyo (MAZDA) hold the patents on parts they have developed to make the engine durable and reliable. Other licencse holders that have failed to make a commercially viable rotary are; Curtiss-Wright (aircraft) Fichtel & Sachs (chainsaws) Daimler Benz M.A.N. Alfa Romeo Rolls-Royce Porsche Comotor Johannes Graupner Savkel Nissan Suzuki General Motors After spending millions on licences and R&D they would like to make them too but Mazda have things like the design of the apex and side seals under their exclusive control, thus preventing anyone else being able to make a reliable, durable rotary engine

  9. It is not the waste gate, but the waste gate actuator for an internal waste gate.
  10. Most turbo kits you see overseas don't fit right hand drive cars due to turbo/steering shaft clearance problems.

  12. Is the car fitted with standard radio or after market one. I have seen a few cars fitted with new radio's run into the same or similar problems. They put in a new radio and either the dash lights or park lights or tail lights don't work afterwards. Some radios take a wire from the cars lighting to control the brightness of the radio display if this is not connected correctly you get problems with parts of the lighting system, never the headlights as they are controlled by relays but in a secondary part of the lighting system.
  13. Ive done that conversion, are you trying to run a motronic engine with L jet wiring?? I used all motronic engine bay loom, ECU etc as it was and just replaced the rectangular plug on the fuse box for a round motronic one . It only involves cutting and resoldering 11 wires and all the colours are the same. I might have some of the plugs you want too.
  14. I have 2 drivers doors both are F/L and in good condition. 299 7942 or 021 136 7007 or PM me. I have have one left door too, it is not in perfect condition but still a tidy usable door.

  16. The pump stops automatically after a few seconds if the ECU doesn't get a signal from the airflow meter as a safety measure on some models. ECU assumes that no airflow = engine not running so cuts fuel flow to prevent fire or flooding.
  17. What did you think that M325 was worth repaired Brent? I have all the parts to fix it but even so I thought it was to dear to be bothered with. I didn't know it was you biding on the 320, I was there too....
  18. All the problems with your instruments are caused by the same thing. There are 2 AA sized Ni Cad batteries behind the green, yellow and red lights, these have failed and more than likely acid has started to leak from them. The acid corrodes though parts of the circut board causing the instruments to give bad readings then later fail.( temp gauge in your case, but often fuel is effected as well) If they are replaced in time everything including the service indicator lights will work as normal, if left to long the whole circut board they are attached to needs to be replaced to fix the problem. The electric window switches are crap, take them apart and clean the contacts put them back together and all will be well again (for a while anyway), or could be the kiddy switch is dirty or broken too. Central locking, usually the control relay has failed, most common if your car has a sunroof. It is behind the drivers side front speaker, a water drain tube from the sunroof goes right past it, it gets blocked then water ends up in the relay box and under the drivers feet ( look out for damp carpet) .These ralays are about as well made as the window switches so they dont have to get wet to stop working, the can just as easily stop for no good reason.
  19. Clean the airflow meter, make sure the flap is moving freely and not stuck in the full open position (or any position for that matter)
  20. The doors have holes for mounting either electic or manual winding mechanisim, but the glass is different so could end up an expensive exersize.

    The resistors are fitted directly to the fan motor, have a look at the one I have out of a prefaclift car when you pick up the other parts you want Gus.
  22. No they are not. The fogs are completely different between Pre F/L & F/L
