I agree it would be nice to see cellphone numbers, but I'm guessing TradeMe's main revenue stream is the success fees. They would still make money off promotions, uploading extra pictures etc but if they allow cellphone numbers they would be sacrificing a huge chunk of revenue because people will circumvent the auction process. So I can understand why they don't allow cellphone numbers.

Your observations are pretty accurate, in general NZ New BMWs back then didn't have TV because they didn't have sat nav then, so even if you got one you'd still need to add stuff for sat nav (guys correct me if I'm wrong). If you are set on having a Motorsport, I would go for a Japanese one, preferably one with sat nav already in it, I believe Jochen and Grant (hotwire) know how to convert it for NZ use. Perhaps get one that's been in NZ a few years so there's some history, or if it's a fresh import just get some good pre-purchase inspections and a warranty, just in case. Nothing wrong with buying an SE and kitting it out other than cost, but just those bits you have mentioned will cost ~$2k. I think it's easier to get one that already has the Motorsport bits than have to kit it out yourself, and should work out cheaper. Unless you want to put in aftermarket suspension anyway, then it's a consideration. The Alcantara/cloth seats that come in the Japanese Motorsports are pretty nice, even though I know most people prefer leather. You can always get the leather interior from a wrecker. And if you have a preference for the facelift lights, get a car with them already because they are pretty expensive new.

That's true Grant - I have successfully done it on a car with a smaller sports steering wheel and fixed steering column, and a car with the 4 spoke BMW steering wheel and adjustable steering column.

I don't have first hand experience, but this guy says his car pulls stronger throughout the rev range compared to stock. The 323 (170hp) being restricted from the factory would probably have the biggest HP gain out of all the E36s that this can go on. Theoretically, since it's going from single pipe to twin pipes all the way like the 325, and both have 2.5L engines it should able to get near 325 (192hp) territory. Maybe more torque but less hp since they have different intake manifolds? If you want the most out of it, get it tuned after installing. Overall, I'd say it's a great idea to put this on a 323. From what I've read, people said they got 10-15hp. No idea about the speedo and indicator, but with regards to removing the gauge cluster, you do not need to remove the steering wheel. It takes a little bit of maneuvering but you can get it out, with the glass facing downwards.

Welcome! You really know how to keep your car and garage clean. The E46 looks showroom new. I think the stock Motorsport wheels look great, coupled with how mint the car is, it seems a shame to put non-stock parts on it

We've discussed the whole HID kit issue before with the same guys (http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=16793), they know but still want to do it so don't waste your time giving advice guys

Just curious - regarding 'M Sport Suspension II'... was there a 'M Sport Suspension I' on the E39? Anyone know what the difference is, if so?

No worries. If you get a genuine set they will fit your car. E34 Throwing Stars will have the wrong offset - they're nice wheels but genuine ones are hard to find!

They call them M-Contour and genuine ones only come in 17" - they came on some E36 M3s. They are 1 piece (no cover) unlike the Throwing Stars.
