Hey Mark, the earlier E36s came with smooth mouldings while later ones got textured. The dealer will have both types - mind you even they get confused so you will need to make sure you get the right one. I might be able to find you the part number for the rear textured moulding but I don't think that will be any use to you.

How's did the Cosworth fare against it Chris? In my dream garage, I'd have a lift to work on my cars, a nice big Snap-On or Teng Tools cabinet with all the tools I'd ever need, diagnostic tools for all my cars, and a dyno. Oh, and some nice cars, of course Just too many choices. An E39 M5 daily driver would be nice

Do it Simon, tough love!
-
Neither of them look goon on an E34 IMO. They just look too modern and too big for the car.
-
I know... What's up with the Union Jack on the side of the plate? It should be German instead.

Very nice! We need more people like that.
-
Nice They aren't cheap but I've only heard good things about them.
-
Can't believe someone bid on that, just need a belt with the BMW emblem for the buckle now!
-
Hahaha... I love it. I have NEVER seen such good effort. Get those unicorns off the car - they're creating microscratches on the paint! Or is unicorn hair paint-safe?

Welcome Garry. Can you post up some pictures of the lights from the front, and the insides with both low beam and high beam covers removed (assuming E46 has covers like the E36) so we can see the bulb holders, and the lights on at night with the beam pattern (both wall and floor shots if possible for us to see how the light is dispersing).

Not sure if it's my memory, but I think they also advertise on this site.

Yeah, looks nice eh? White really is making a return With some clears it would look stunning. Those wheels don't suit a legend like the M5 though.
-
Yeah, saw that car above before and also another M3 CSL that was grey but got foiled in white which was cool. Not cheap but worth it for expensive cars with a rare colour.
-
Yeah... can't say much without speaking to the owner obviously but the seller's descriptions and answers are a little odd. I wonder if the dents can be pulled via the paintless dent removal? Would be reasonably cheap if so?
-
What size are the wheels? Agree that it will look even nicer with a drop. The M6 style wheels look good on the E39.
-
Welcome Dylan, there are a few E36 M3s on the board, at least 2 in Auckland off the top of my head and another 2 in Hawkes Bay I think. Is yours Hellrot? I just saw one last week.
-
Looks like a pretty good deal if it turns out to be good... the answers are a little iffy though.
-
Welcome Damo. Is she Montreal Blue? Get some nicer pics on here!

If i was a true Hartge wouldn't it have more Hartge parts than a tiny grill badge? And possibly not automatic?

I think 185,000km ish?
-
Still a fun project and if it works out financially why not. Doubt it would though but if you're going to do it yourself it's a great way to bond with your car
-
Chump change to their clientele I'm sure Car looks awesome, needs smoked tails though

If you're going to swap everything from the donor car, I don't see why not. Just a lot of wires to run that's all. The bodies are identical, AFAIK. Glad to see someone on here doing it. It's the purple M3 that was posted up by 'dodgemnz' (or something similar) awhile ago yes?
