Were the low beam bulbs that were changed all old bulbs, or did you replace the same one again and again? What brand are the bulbs, assuming they are brand new, etc. How much night driving did you do?

Welcome elmarco, the car looks great, which shade of silver is it? About the tow bar, I am sure somewhere out there there is someone with a tow bar on his car that he would love to get rid of and get a normal diffuser put on, so you might want to try looking for someone to swap with.

If I was the owner I'd think you were coming back to get it... for free Good luck on acquiring it, but I think that ACS bumper cover is glued to the stock front bumper. So the owner may be reluctant to peel it off for you as it may damage their stock bumper. I think you will have better luck doing a straight swap with one that's Boston Green. Riley your ACS bumper looks absolutely fantastic... definitely better than modding the E36 lip to fit!

I agree with Paul. Probably some benefits to be had if you warm the car up before moving off, but by how much? That is the question. I drive once I start the car up, but I don't rev it when it's still cold. It gets to operating temperature quickly enough. As for warming down, I don't think that's necessary for your car. Even if you wanted to do it... 5 minutes is overkill. Even turbo cars that I've seen don't warm down for 5 minutes. Only creates unnecessary pollution and wasting your money... IMO

Sounds like she'll be alright with all the guys helping you! Just thought I'd mention - the coolant shouldn't be bright fluoro green like normal coolant - should be using BMW coolant which is more of a blue.

Yeah, NZHondas is a good forum, helpful people and I don't see much of the so called Honda stereotype over there. Sure we probably see more riced out Hondas driven by teenagers more but it's probably because they are a little more affordable to buy and run, and there are more Hondas in NZ than BMWs. They're cheap to run and maintain, definitely practical.

Not sure what's with the Honda-hating. They are good cars, and just as with the car crowd of any make they have their idiots. Different strokes for different folks.

Did not expect such a quick change from the E60, bored of it already? An E30 and an X5 sounds like a nice combo, would have thought the E30 would be the toy though. I'd go with non-wood interior trim and facelift if possible, but I'm not knowledgeable enough about X5 pricing to comment - I'm assuming you chose that one because that's the kind of money you're looking to spend.
