  1. Sway bars will not affect ride height, only springs do.
  2. Hi-Tek, are you getting yours done locally or buying it from the guy overseas? Good point on the stains, but leather might be a bit slippery in the twisties... I'm guessing the bolsters do the job well though!

    Happy Birthday Andrew!
  4. Great post. Love how the E30 Motorsports look!
  5. Looks mint, but come on.

    My new baby...

That's great. It's a very nice car and I love the wheels. Cloth does hold you better in the twisties

    My new baby...

Very nice Is that the one that was on TM awhile back? If so the interior looked great... post up some pics!

    Happy Birthday Josh!
  9. Avus Blue That car looks very nice. Good stuff mate post some pictures when you get yours installed!
  10. That looks ok other than the splitter tray things below the front bumper and the sideskirt. I'm guessing Lumma stuff would be quite costly because you need to import it right?
  11. If it's the red one that just got listed, it's really nice.
  12. Interesting. I always thought you just loaded the bare skis through the ski pass hole!
  13. Hey guys, what do you mean by 'ski bag'?
  14. Good to hear it's all sorted! Whoops forgot that some cars have the expansion tank attached.
  15. The outers of the 2nd (without the recaro words embossed on the headrest), plus the suede centres of the 4th with silver/dark grey/charcoal stripes to go with the car's colour scheme. But the standard motorsport colours would also make things a little more colourful which is cool Is the 3rd pic an Alpina design?
  16. Maybe I should rephrase - it sounds good assuming the NCB = 0. If that's with an NCB already... that's high! Those are really cheap prices you got quoted for insurance. Abnormally low for your age. I think if you came to Auckland, you'd be looking at quite an increase!

    New Whip

Maybe you can polish it to make it glossier?

    New Whip

Lights look pretty good. What did you use to paint them red?
  19. Congrats on the purchase, love how the car looks! Will car transporters still impose the 150mm on it even if it's being transported as an 'immobile' vehicle?
  20. Just saw one about 2 weeks ago, on TradeMe I think!
  21. Hey Charlie, have a look here: http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=13127 As for Mobil 1, the US guys always go on about how it's the best, I'm not sure if the Mobil 1 sold here are the same formulation, but I personally use Castrol R Synthetic (now Castrol EDGE), 5w-30, and am happy with it. I would have tried Mobil 1 if it wasn't for it being more expensive than the Castrol.
  22. That's sounds pretty good - as long as the excess is something reasonable around $500 - $750?

    E36 pod filter

Josh, I believe the thing you are referring to is the thermostat which measures the temperature of the intake air, and is connected to the throttle body. If so the two lines running to and from it are coolant lines. When the thermostat senses the air is too cold and could cause the throttle body to freeze up, it lets the coolant through and heats up the throttle body. In our climate it isn't needed unless it gets super cold where you are. I believe the guys who have gone with pod filters just ziptie it somewhere in the engine bay. You could put it somewhere near the air intake duct to keep its functionality. PS: I agree that an intake on a 320 isn't really going to help performance... Would be louder and maybe more responsive but for power... forget it. If you weigh out the costs and benefits your engine may be healthier using the BMW paper filter. What type of pod filter are you going with?
