I see, I used to see you driving your other car quite a bit. Ditto!
-
Welcome Graham! My friend had an AE82, was quite a quick little car.
-
It's in his sig Liam. Did you just buy the Touring? Red or silver one by any chance?
-
Beautiful. Did that plate use to be on a grey E46 M3?
-
I stand corrected. Totally ruled them out because they are usually too expensive but it's worth a try! I think they had a special on some E36 Ti ACS bits last year.
-
The only thing you probably need for your car for the exterior are ACS mirrors and roof spoiler - yours is already pretty ACS'd out! As Riley said, ACS stuff is hard to get, there's no particular place to source them so you just need to look around.
-
Good to hear it's sorted. Might be a good idea not to open it anymore... or if you do, keep a golf umbrella in the car! The umbrella sunroof works well Didn't get the 3, ended up buying a cheap car to get me from A to B for the foreseeable future.

Hey Mark, my car didn't have a sunroof so don't know much but just to throw some ideas out there: Perhaps the sunroof and the windows use the same fuse? And is there a switch in your car that de-activates all the windows, if so maybe it works for the sunroof too. Chances are if the fuse blew in the first place, the motor is drawing too much power which may means it's on it's way out.

Yeah Glenn, would be keen to pop by and have a look!

Have a close look at the rear lights and front indicators, do they have a tiny BMW logo on them? Original side indicators won't have BMW logo but should have the logo of the OEM, will probably be one that looks like an 'S'. Are you sure that the side indicators are smoked, as original BMW clear side indicators look a little smoked compared to the front and rear ones which appear more white. Headlights look to be original. See if they say Bosch on the lower corners of the lights, or ZKW.

So gorgeous, so clean and what a beautiful colour.
-
Nice, full ACS kit. Can't see the spoiler properly though. Is it Montreal Blue?
-
Welcome! Awaiting the pictures.
-
Just have a look at the VIN to determine if it's a real M3, other things are iffy and you can't really draw a conclusion.
-
Looks good mate, I think I've seen your car before.
-
Sorry to hear Josh, glad nothing was stolen. People like that need to have their hands chopped off Hope you have no-excess glass cover?
-
The ACS Type II seems to work better, but that's not to say the M-Parallel aren't nice.
-
Nice one Martyn... tight spot btw!
-
Hey Jared, best way to find out would be to ask the owner, or maybe you could get the VIN and check with a BMW dealer or ACS themselves, -but in general the ACS cars I have seen come in from Japan are just ACS kitted, nothing more. This one looks to be the same, ACS type II wheels and kit, minus ACS mirrors and can't really see from the pictures if it has a ACS rear skirt with the ACS exhaust tip. which other ACS Tis I have seen have.

No problems using aftermarket headunits. You are right - the aerial is a surface one in the rear windshield. The only aerial wire I plugged in on any aftermarket headunit was the aerial plug from the old headunit, and everything works perfectly.
-
Hey Chris, I'd think so, but have you checked with www.realoem.com?

Couldn't have put it better Grant.
