  1. I thought I recognised the name( -Sila- ,etc right?), I play BFBC2 and the new Nam but started with BF1942 and then the subsequent titles (expect 2142), What's your gaming handle _Matt_? My gaming name is snow* (I'm a grumpy cnut ingame, but was a bit of a fiend in BF192)

    Helmets

Tom has summed it up quite nicely. I wouldn't spend less than $600 on a helmet personally. Try and avoid motorcycle helmets as they tent not to have a nomex/fireproof lining as you're usually thrown from a motorbike in a crash.
  3. I think you'll have to wait until February 19th then Jack.
  4. I'm heading out to Hampton Downs tomorrow (Friday) and then again the following Wednesday 12th if anyone's keen?

    Kingkarl.

I agree with nearly all your posts mate, and most of the time I like your 'straightup ness' It's just the e-thuggery I think that throws people. The thing about the Internet is that everyone can be tough no matter how big or small.

    Kingkarl.

I must admit I had a good laugh when I read kingkarl's sig, only took a second to work out who it was directed at. Does that tell us something about the way you come across to people on here?
  7. How is this comparable to Forza 3 on Xbox 360 fellas? I own Forza 3 on my xbox but don't really want to fork out for a PS3 and GT5 unless it's way cooler.
  8. Great day fellas, good to take the GTR out for some testing on its maiden voyage. Big thanks to James and April for running the day and the two marshals who sat out in the sun all day (poor buggers) Also thanks to Eddie (rot62) for sitting in the passengers seat with Willie and myself and helping us improve our lines. I'm hoping to make it to the open days on the 7th and also the 12th (then it looks like there's no open days until February 19th?)
  9. You can turn up at any time Pablo. I think the track closes at 4:30pm
  10. Is everyone all sorted for tomorrow? Just flushing the radiator, gearbox and rear diff fluids changed. Let's hope I don't forget anything tomorrow. What time are we able to get through to the infield tomorrow James?
  11. ^ At least you'll have some brakes mate Our car is pretty basic in the braking/engine department :/
  12. James, I take it you've seen money from myself and Willie? Are you bringing your CSL Tom?
  13. All paid up x 2 of us, skid pan included. Not sure how the slicks will fare on the skid pad, fingers crossed it's very slippery. Jack, don't be too concerned about being a beginner mate, I'm not that far ahead of you. It's not a competition and there's no prizes for the fastest person there.
  14. Is there any other way to pay James? I've just tried to pay via the Hampton ticketing function but it keeps declining my card? (not sure why as there's funds at my end)
  15. Motherf@&k, bad luck dude. You behind the wheel or your old man? Willie and myself will be there Jan 2nd, do you reckon we should prepay or just turn up on the day?

    Clio V6.

As in you own it or you've just bought it? Please don't get a personalised plate for it if you've just bought it.
  17. Rightio lads, very small update unfortunately. Not much progress has happened although its now at the painters (Precision Autowerk), hopefully being painted next week. We're hoping to have the car done by the end of next week in time for some trackdays over the summer break. (excuse some of the poor quality cellphone pics) Door card template (have now finished them, made from ABS plastic) Test fitting both seats and harnesses Quick release spigot welded onto the steering column Steering wheel test fit, still not sure if the off set will be correct Harness shoulder strap stays welded on ECU holder nearly finished Brake reservoir bracket welded in Wiper motor mounting point moved to the left slightly as the roll cage interfered with the old mounting point. Helmet box mounting brackets done Driver and passengers floor pan done Brake bias nob ready to attach to the roll cage
  18. Alert are a rip off since they changed hands, I'm guessing you're in a hurry though Jack? If you're not in a hurry I'd import some Goodridge lines in yourself, you should be able to get a set of 6 hoses for about $200. Race brakes and Alert will charge you about $150+ per hose You could also try Eugene at Exedy in Glenfield (just around the corner from Gavin's) I suspect he'll be cheaper than Race brakes and Alert
  19. Hi James, how are the numbers shaping up mate? I'm very keen as is savant (Willie) but we're still not 100% sure if the car will be finished in time.
  20. My poo is unique, doesn't make it pretty though.
  21. Shame it's got the hideous US bumpers? You bought one yet or still looking for the 'perfect' one?
  22. Looking good ray, that's the easy part out of the way. Now to get it running
