Can't speak highly enough of Precision Auto Werk in Glenfield. Paul is great to deal with.
-
Very cool, not sold on the colour though (white or blue for me)
-
Sorry Jack, Not much news mate. I'm stuck down in Wellington during the week on The Hobbit and only fly back in the weekends. Hoping to drop it off to Paul at Precision Autowerk to have the cage/ interior painted in the next week or so. Really desperate to have it finished before my Christmas break on the 17th December.

Thankfully it's the car enthusiast/ casual trackday racer that now deals with all Special Interest vehicles at LTNZ and not Fiona Waititi.
-
Those RCs look mint enough for track hacks bro. Did you get the slicks from an NZV8 team? Garry Pedersen's United Video team is just across the road from Arrow Wheels. We got ours for $50 each.
-
Haha, poor bastards. They entered at a pretty tricky part of the Nuerburgring (entrance usually used by motorcyclists). No doubt they were giving it some as there was probably a few cars coming down the hill behind them
-
I'd suggest thieving scum, doubt they're keen on coming to the party. Is that whilst parked outside Gavin's?
-
Super keen James, will have the GTR done by then (hopefully)
-
^ I've got the 5mm black steel jobbies already mate :0
-
Looks good bro, nice to see black hardware used on the wheel too. I'll have to chuck yours on the GTR to see if the offset might be better suited than ours is currently.

Nice car mate, loving the telephone (I wonder if you can get away with talking on that beasty whilst driving) Shame it hasn't got a roof.
-
I don't see any M coupes in those pictures Peter?
-
Well done Ray, it's amazing what aftermarket wheels can do to the M coupe. The factory rims are so horrible.
-
Looks good man, sounds even better.
-
So he must have hit the pit entrance bit?
-
The schnitzers would be win if they were 3 piece. I reckon keep those RKs Tony
-
I thought you wanted one?

Yea, sorry Eddie, we've been a bit slack lately. I'm stuck in Wellington on The Hobbit and Willie is about to head off to the U.S for four weeks. Anyhow, flew home on the weekend. Got the master cylinders temporarily plumbed up and the brakes bled. Bled the clutch, drilled out any unnecessary brackets that aren't needed anymore before painting. Test fitted the seats and harnesses and managed to make sense of the wiring and get the car going enough to take it for a lap around the block. Also have removed the suspension as it is being rebuilt this week. This weekend (Mrs permitting) will be change the brake pads and refit the suspension. Passengers side, had to chop the floor out a bit to make the seat work. Door bars in with gusseting, also the dash bar bracing is done (just in front of the gear stick) Poor quality cellphone pic of the dash bracing Close up of the door gusseting

^^ I know mate, I was being a smart arse and having a dig at your age.

I'm only 28 Eddie , I was born in 1981 you see. I barely remember Bathurst 1988, '89, '90, '91 and '92 but still think these cars can't be beat by today's standards. I love anything from the Group B era too

Nice car dude, I wouldn't be going nuts with Clay bars or anything that extreme just yet with such a new car. If you're worried about scratching it while you wash etc, use the two bucket method. One bucket with your car wash/shampoo liquid and the other with clean water in it. Rinse the mitt in the cold water bucket before it goes back into the shampoo bucket. I have two meguiars lambs wool mitts, one for anything above the top of the wheel arches and one for below. Always work from the roof of the car down. Never wash your car in direct sunlight, or after it's just been driven (bonnet will be hot). Probably best done in the morning or late afternoon. If you're serious about it, follow what these guys do. http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=4637 Obviously you can get as anal as you want about washing a car, I've not washed my daily driver in close on two years, my old E30 M3 got the love wash though.

Smallish update today. Roll cage is moving along, main hoop diagonal, harness bars, transmission tunnel bar and most of the passengers side door bars are done Chop chop!, seems this will be the only way to mount the passenger seat. Some dodgy plumbing of the clutch and brake lines from the master cylinders. Not entirely happy, will probably end up doing them in braided stainless with some banjo fittings over the next month or two. Currently what you can see runs into some bulkhead fittings in the firewall.

Are you concerned Mag and Turbo are too expensive? $2-3 each is very cheap??? I had to import mine from the U.S unfortunately 32mm fronts and 42mm rears.
-
Mike's a top guy, he's helped me out quite a number of times with the E30 M3.

Looking good Ray. I agree though, something not quite right about the LMs on the E34. I think the Style 5s look much better. I think you need to hurry up and fit the LMs to that E91 though, they look great even just layed up beside it.
