No major progress on this yet as we're moving house in a couple of weeks but have still been ordering parts and ticking things off the list. The original bootlid had a meke dent in it from the previous owner reversing into a letterbox. The car's not immaculate by any stretch but this one stuck out like a sore thumb. The one off the parts car was mint apart from the factory spoiler holes so have had those welded up and the boot repainted inside and out. Couldn't have asked for a better job really. Mine are style 15's hence not being able to sell them haha.

This. I can't even get $100 for my set of Style 15's and the tires are pretty much new

I wouldn't have thought this was too bad for lower north prices to be honest. You're paying for the mileage. Headlining sucks ass but other than that....it'd be worth a look at least imo unless you can be bothered driving to Auckland

Price on engine mounts?

Don't want to sell the clutch kit and flywheel separate do you?

I guess it just depends on the rails you make up but do these sit really low compared to factory? My mates evo has these and it feels like you're sitting on the floor haha

Hey, sorry. Not getting notifications for some reason. I've looked at the early Recaro fishnets as they were pretty cool and are marginally period correct but again, hard to find in good nic. Thanks Brent, I thought they would have disappeared straight away. What are you wanting for them? I've also been looking at these wondering if they could be made to fit fit. About the closest to what I'm after so far....http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/fiat/auction-980123922.htm

Yeah I agree. Hard to find in good condition though

My E30 project has worn, tan, comfort seats. I don't mind the shape of the back seats too much and was actually thinking of getting in retrimmed in vinyl or something....until I looked at the cost. The front drivers seat is shredded and looks horrible. I've read that E21/E24 recaros are a nice swap but this being NZ I'm assuming they would go for astronomical prices even if you could find some. E36/E46 seats...not so keen on vaders in E30's really. The E36 sports seats would be my preference so far but finding a black set in decent condition.. Has anyone got any other ideas for nice looking "sport" seats that might fit? I can make up adaptor rails as long as the seats actually fit in the car.

A grand would be closer..plus a couple hundred for install if he paid someone to put it in...Still nowhere near $3000 but then who knows; he may have paid that if he's a sucker. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dynavin-N6-E46-BMW-3-Series-E46-1998-2006-DVD-CD-Navigation-Bluetooth-iPod-USB-/161873866283?hash=item25b06f2e2b:g:8NAAAOSwMmBV1wBE

Are the rims hub centric? If so, a missing hub ring can make things look pretty disturbing

Let me know if you change your mind about shipping

That is by far the most beautiful thing I've seen on a New Zealand road. Car, height and wheel combo is perfect. You done goooooood

I found a light sand/soft wire brush and then the spray on paint stripper that repco sells to be the easiest way. In spray form it gets into all the corners etc. I just water blasted it after about 10 minutes and the paint came off. If you don't break the paint surface first it's a whole lot less effective Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

Came home with a bit too much motivation tonight so put my e90 drop hats in. Didn't make much of a difference really but had them sitting around so why not. When these tires are worn out I'll go for a bit less stretch and a bit more wall and they should fill the guards nicely. Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

Been a bit of a change of plans. I've bought a second e30 with an m20b20 and a manual box so that will more than likely donate its engine and box to this initially. At the same time, the urge to build an angry turbo m40 is strong....decisions decisions.. So much for a tight budget In the mean time, more pictures Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

Took to the paint over the weekend. Full cut and polish. Managed to take off a lot of the touch up paint that had been put on by a previous owner and it looks a million times better. Not sure how well the photos will show it but here goes... Before: After: New engine is hopefully arriving later today so the real work will begin soon... Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

I've put super low springs in my E30 which has brought it down to a reasonable height....however, my sump now sits unprotected in a horribly vulnerable spot. The U.S sites I've seen suggest using washers/bushes of some kind or other to raise the engine which sounds like a terrible idea to me. Has anyone come across any sort of custom sump or solution to get these things higher?

Got sick of comments about my super sweet rally crosses so have just finished yellow tints. Looks pretty good I think Excuse the poor quality photos. Tapatalk may be the worst app I've ever used. Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk

Rear discs done. Pretty straightforward job for two people I thought. Most time consuming part was removing the bolts attaching the axles to the diff really as they were very hard to crack. Funny story. Me and a mate finished it at about 4am this morning, double checked everything, bled the brakes and then dropped the car down. We waited about 10 minutes and then started it up to do a quick brake test in the driveway but it wouldn't move...felt like the brakes were locked. Jacked it back up, checked everything again and we couldn't figure it out. We were just about to shut the garage and label it a tomorrow project when I noticed the chocks we'd put under the front wheels were still jammed under the front wheels.....good times Sent from my D6653 using Tapatalk
