-
legend sounds pretty easy..parking brake works as normal? trying to get hold of e30 m3 calipers here, will get extra if i can! might even test the system if i can get an iS euro tourer! edit: and what do you mean by the carriers different?? so its a different caliper? i can imagine those would be easy to come by
-
E39 M5/E34 M5 or E46 CSL would be the few M cars i would own. really though, i wouldnt want much else other than e30s until you get to that sorta $$ (ie 50k) i could imagine buying an evo 8 or 9 but not really the associated costs to run the thing

http://bmwfans.info/ this site is great, online ETK. does list the size for e30 discs, but not z1! dicks

david im trying not to fill my flat with e30 parts or have them back home! doesnt help!
-
you wont need to replace the exhaust gasket to change the stud, they're still good. and be happy you have a stock manifold and not headers..they're not fun
-
cheers Paul, might get in touch with the main dealer, they can order stuff from germany found a listing here: http://www.carparts-direct.co.uk/Brake_Dis...d_Pads_Rear.cfm not £ at all!
-
they are bigger...calipers need to change to match
-
i cant believe somehow this has been missed in the long years of bimmersport!
-
OTT and crass?? PC police ollie! its nice to see them loosen up...the G&T polar episode is great
-
10 - E30 318iS 20 - E30 328iS (i can make one!) semi race car 100 - E30 M3 DTM there, easy and in case you wanted another bracket 50-60k - E30 M3
-
any done this as a 4 stud rear brake upgrade? discs seem around £40 each (z1) and are the same diameter as e30 m3 rear discs. E30 M3 calipers a little bit harder to come by, but i am sure i can find some 2nd hand over here. thoughts please...could someone also get a quote from BMW on Z1 rear discs, whether i can get them in NZ or should get em here should match quite nicely a wilwood or better ($$ depending) front brake setup
-
but manifolds? exhausts yes but never seen a ti manifold. seems too light/hard to work with/$$. any pics?
-
your wrecker is a cock. unless there is some confusion over 1/1.1 or 1.1/1.3. im confusing myself. regardless, the facelift E30 engine has the sensors you want on the front. might require some funky wiring but its doable. best way to do it is to get a wrecked 325 (probably auto, doesnt matter) and get everything, you will probably need most of the parts cooling system etc why is it on the verge of death? m20s are usually pretty bomb proof unless its been neglected
-
alloy cant cope with the stresses...its too brittle and wouldnt handle heat cycling as well. (correct me if im wrong) virtually all OEM manifolds are cast iron, cant think of many that arent. steel or stainless are really the only other options. what is such a mission? just take manifold off and get it outta there if its snapped...there is meant to be torque values that allow for expansion (ie not too tight)

agreed, but its still sh*t. the presenters are kinda gay and not funny. JC is a personal hero of mine. and not just because he has the same initials.
-
wow, i watched it on real TV! its awesome...5th gear so lame in comparison
-
i'll will have to sort that at some point graeme! im trying to persuade her to keep it, its been perfectly reliable, i like it lots and i think its a great car. but you try arguing with pam!
