As the title says, I need an Air cleaner duct for a 1988 318i, M40 Engine. Here's a pic of what I mean:

There's an absolutely mint, beautiful red Pre-FL 2 door 325i with beige interior often parked along Waiwhetu Road, in between Burnside St and Rossiter Avenue... Is it that same one perhaps? Has plates beginning with 'N'.

The old X5 and the current X3 are pretty much the same size actually! The X3 2.0d is an excellent car, and the most economical SUV you can get in New Zealand, apparently. I've seen a few under the 50k mark recently, if you have that to spend, it wouldn't be such a bad bet. They're probably going to have a considerably higher resale in a few years time than an equivalent 3 series saloon, too. My favourite tow vehicles are Ssangyong 4x4s; bloody cheap, Mercedes diesel engines. A little different from your same-again Pajeros, too.

Agreed, consider yourself told Emma! A friend of mine has a tech2 spoiler sitting around in his garage, but I'm not letting you have it. Which I'm sure you will find all the more annoying because he offered it to me for $40, and it is the same colour as your car.

Take off the Jap front numberplate bit and mount your plate where it should be, the car looks kind of 'bucktoothed' with it hanging down like that. Otherwise nice, not sure how you put up with Ryan though.

I bought my exceedingly mint FL E30 318i manual for $3500, so I'd wait for the engine to die, though that doesn't look like happening for at least another 50,000km, and when it does, with the extra $2500 I'd source an M42 and install it myself. Either that or find a 318iS, they really are just as much fun as an M325i, with a much smaller gas bill.

A SAAB turbo that wasn't good with high KMs?! I'm shocked. They all seem to have 700,000km on the clock. The E36 sounds ok, but people always say the early E36s didn't have as good build quality as the E30s. Offer $2500 if you really want it- buyers market remember!
