Really morbidly funny. The stupid are outbreeding the smart by more than two to one (stupid people have kids before they are thirty), so I don't mind if they have a little setback.

Oh, my- the secrecy surrounding my true profession has been exposed! Of course I'm bidding, I have a space in the garage. BUT number one priority right now is a 1980s SAAB.

Space savers in South Auckland... man, you're gonna be hard pressed with that one -
...or as they say in Munich, Glücklicher Geburtstag!

I could see Rambo's metrosexual twin brother driving this.

When the Russians took up Marxism, they proved that they would believe anything...

From memory, unless it was registered before 1979? I think? then it needs seatbelts all round. Not sure of the exact date/year but was definitely before your car was made.

I was a HVHS boy on account of my most fortunate noncatholicism. Sladden park is always fun on a wet day, just watch out for the groundskeeper. Would love to see a CSL give the playing fields a thorough seeing-to.

We are the original car loving city here in Lower Hutt. What an amazing coincidence, I used to work for the Dowse!

[quote 'Jedski @ Oct 31 2006, 10:00 PM) everyone sayes V1 but i havent used one before. I'm hoping to get one though. anyone reccomend a place? i also dont want it sitting on my windscreen, are there any options for else where? Oh yea, this was about radar detectors! V1 works good, used to have one, got stolen. I think their popularity with criminals speaks volumes for their effectivity.

My speed record for Whites Line East is 145km/h... in a Subaru Vortex. Go down Riverside Drive, do a few tight corners, and stop at St Ronans Ave- I'll be waiting!

Yes, but I won't know until after I have driven it in a highly illegal fashion. PM me to arrange this.

Yea my brother had the same problem exact to yours, just for selling of the remnants of a parts car AW11 MR2. Typical Australian management style business unfriendliness- make money, not friends.

So far this year; E30- 11,000km; Corolla- 13,000km. I'm estimating 25-30k km per annum, do quite a few long trips.

Finally, an explanation for that hairstyle.

Nice car, personally don't like the 1980s body with 2000's ricer addenda (lights, mirrors, white instruments) very much, though- could be supremely 80s cool with the right wheels and tail lights. What does that licence plate mean?

Thankyou, finally some attention for mens health, sorely lacking with the current government! (unless you count AIDS screening- gotta keep the core Labour voters happy)

500 of the 2600 to be made set aside for the UK- have/will any come here? Looks pretty tasty, up 33hp on the standard 320i, carbonfibre cam cover, and cheaper (in the UK) than a 320i with a Motorsport kit (25,000 pounds vs 25,415). I know I want one! Can't find anything on BMW NZ's website.

I last saw it earlier this year, Sunday drive round the bays... there was a Porsche 356 meet-up in Days bay at the same time so I was in car-perve heaven!

Agreed, I'm quite jealous of them, the black car is arguably the most desirable E30 in the whole country.
-
Where is it imported from? Always interested, I'm guessing HK/Singapore by the rice and the wide rear plate space?
-
There is a RHD E30 M3 with the same black paint, red bumper stripes colour scheme in Lower Hutt, seen it a few times round Eastbourne... had a p-plate with something like M3 EVO or the like, bloody nice car though.

Specs, or we will just assume it's a 518i Automatic!

A diesel model X5 would probably be a better long-term investment; high end european diesels tend to have better residual values than their thirstier petrol brothers and sisters. I imagine a high tech euro diesel and high tech euro petrol V8 probably have similar service/repair costs, too. Horses for courses? (they tow a horsefloat well!)

The new Mazda MX-5 has four cupholders, for two seats. Why?
