Mattzy 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 (edited) Just toe Both front and rear toe? Mini update: I attacked the castor bushes swap this afternoon. I managed to burn the old bushes from the LCA's and chisel that stupid metal ring out of the bracket. Although I need to remove the center metal ring which is still stuck on the end of the LCA's. Might borrow my friends gear puller for that.. or.. if anyone else has a suggestion? I will probably end up painting the brackets while they're out. Hopefully the instructions I recieve help with putting them back in Pics of the carnage to follow.. Edited December 26, 2008 by Mattzy

I have got everything apart and just need to get that ring off before pushing the new bushes in and onto the LCAS. No rush on the pics, enjoy your day off!! Those LEDs look cool haha. e30plz 1 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) Your rocker cover is black, Maybe it's the picture? My bad Edited December 29, 2008 by skrillz
Mattzy 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2008 (edited) Your rocker cover is black, Maybe it's the picture? My bad Haha no worries dude, painting rockercovers is pretty easy though. Just pull the cover off, use lots of wax and grease remover and make sure there is no dirt still left on it. Then just start with nice light coats and make sure you clear over the top. Or, if your lazy like me... get your friend who's a car painter to do it! Good wine can be a powerful thing! People will argue you need temperature resistant paint, blah blah... Just use good quality sh*t, a reasonable amount of coats and you'll be fine. Here's a pic of my old rockercover - Pics don't do it justice.. PPG bling represent! Mattzy 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2008 (edited) Castor bushes are in and the rest of the longer studs have arrived. Man I dont know how you guys can seriously use a hacksaw to get those castor rings off.. I spent about 2 mins with the hacksaw and thought "f**k this!" then grabbed out the old trusty angle grinder.. was off in about 20 seconds! Anyway, car is in need of a serious alignment. But I need to sort out this boss kit before anything else happens.. I've also ripped apart the interior again and painted the speedo needles. Wank wank i know! /Edit - Before anyone says anything.. I'd just emptied 3 cans of degreaser underneath it Edited January 12, 2009 by Mattzy
CamB 48 Report post Posted December 31, 2008 Far out that is some serious track. Wheel rim outside arch can mean warrant fails, so you might have to, errrm, "move" the arch.

CamB 48 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 Tyre tread outside the wheel arch is a warrent fail You're quite right. Mind you the spacers aren't ok anyways, so I guess you'll need a spare set of wheels for WOF.

Yep will definitely be keeping the old wheels for that purpose That looks aggresive Matt.. gets my approval Just get the guards flared and the car certed no drama. Those caster bushes are easy to hacksaw lol shouldt take long at all... Cheers mate. Haha I guess I figured that raising the car on the jackstands so I could properly get at the inner rings would take about the same time as using the angle grinder with but more physical effort.. Lazyness FTW good thread mattzy car is looking mint flare them gaurds fully ! Thanks buddy. I'm not really sure the guards on E30's need to be flared that much at all.. Time will tell! Mattzy 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2009 Hi BS - have a recent photo! I need a new shifter. My short shifter fouls on the driveshaft -> gearbox coupling (any suggestions of what shifter I could run what works?) See pic for unbeatable MS paint skill. Other than that shes pretty much ready for a wof. I think the power steering is leaking though..
