Sammy J 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2009 That heater is huge!
westy 614 Report post Posted November 10, 2009 Yes, quite big. Dash needs a bit of work to clear it. Change 1 thing, change 10 others. Heath, heel & toe in the e36 is easy enough and I based the layout on that. The e46 is a pain to do it in though, brake pedal's to high.

tcbaurpower 5 Report post Posted December 14, 2009 This is one crazy conversion. Logic says replace the whole wiring loom but often the engine is just spliced in. Good to see someone taking on the challenge. I have been looking at doing a 5 stud conversion dont think i would take this route. You have some skill with the welder it looks very professional. Are you taking a break for christmas? when will we hear her running?
westy 614 Report post Posted December 14, 2009 Who knows when I'll see her run, maybe in the next few months (vague enough?) but will probably be up to a year before I'm close to finishing stage 1. Bathroom renos mean a stop in progress. Hopefully finished with it this week.

westy 614 Report post Posted January 8, 2010 (edited) So... bathrooms almost finished. Christmas opening hours for suppliers own me. In the meantime I've done this... Cables cables cables More bloody cables E46 boot controls Manual keyed release Electric release Inside boot Kinda lame update but as far as wiring goes this is about as remotely interesting as it gets. Getting ready to power up and check my dodgy wiring ha. Edited January 8, 2010 by westy
