Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Cheers for the comments fellas. Will be sorting out brakes sometime in the next week. Have been contemplating RX7 2 pot callipers. Have got a CAD drawing of an adapter plate and it seems pretty easy. But then again I could be wrong. Nathan- I think for me to get it road legal it would cost me around a grand... would probably just get a trailer for that price... I made the stupid mistake of painting the inside gloss black (read:sauna). Also, if anyone has any ideas on paint schemes please throw em my way! DRTDVL 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) what sort of look do you want? Flashy, Clean, etc... What needs to be done to get it road legal? What color are your wheels, what color is the car? Edited January 26, 2010 by DRTDVL
tire 10 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Good work man this e30 is coming along a lot faster than most. Be a shame if it wasn't road legal. Thought about just leaving the m20 in and going 2.7?
Guest Simon* Report post Posted January 26, 2010 what kind of wheels you got going on it too?
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 I am going to leave it M20, def not going to go 2.7 though Car will be plastered with shitloads of rice stickers and cool stripes or some sort of design. Wheels will be Johnno's weaves. With a gold centre probzzzz
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Also to get it road legal- cert, authority card etc etc. Worried about the lexan and possibly other bits I have cut out.

ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 Those Cuprads are probably to heavy for a race car wheel James. Looking good Ashkan, you will have to take me for a spin when is all sorted
Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 26, 2010 When= probably in a couple months, have become a bit low on cash. James, Chris got it right...cuppys def too heavy/wrong size. Has also been booked in for panel/paint for the first of March... so hopefully have it back together by then. Have been talking to Josh, cheers for the help by the way, and have pretty much sorted all the ground control gear, will be waking up at some ridiculous hour and giving them a ring tonight/this morning. Nobimmer 694 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 Alrighty, after a lenghty conversation with Trevor ( I think) at Ground Control this morning have come to a final decision on spring rates and shocks that I will be using. Going 550f 800r. And getting the double adjustable shocks/inserts.And closing my eyes when I lock in my credit card details. Does this sound about right? Will also be ordering decent sized sway bars from I.E, but am yet to decide what to get...any recomendations would be awesome.
Greg111 13 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 As in brands? I have ebaich front and rear on mine, super huge ones. Body roll pretty much doesn't exist on it.

e30ftw 410 Report post Posted January 27, 2010 If you do the calcs from Henrys thread: 550f x 0.81 = 445.5 (Effective rate ??) 800r x 0.45 = 360 Add together thats 805.5 total.. 445.5f 805.5 total X 100 = 55% front, so 45% rear. Now I wouldn't have a clue what the f*ck these calculations mean lol, I think load or something. Cbf looking back on Henrys thread..

Guess that means the total load is about as even as it's going to get? Greg- that would be awesome
