OLLIE 26 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 full pimp ...do it. only negative is keeping it clean, jeans would make them blue ...
Dyl 4 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Not to play devils advocate here but I still think that black leather would look better on anthricite. The darker the car, the better white leather looks. If you do get them mate, keep them clean (Ive seen the state of your car ;-)) !! You've done well so far mate, what ever you do will look mean.
greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 I think you're completely in tune with me Martyn haha. Thats exactly what I think. Suits most dark coloured cars perfectly but lighter? idk. But I think thats mainly because I haven't seen light leather in a lightish coloured car before. Ollie, luckily I don't wear blue jean, I wear black/dark ones. Sooo much better Dylan, Black will probably still be on the cards. I'll settle for white atm, see what it looks like (It will look good!) and if a black set comes up I might jump on that. The reason I'm getting a bit impatient now is that I have literally had 3 sets of black leather sports seats fall through in the last 14 months for various reasons. There must be something or someone out there who doesn't want me to have them. Ahhh Will be picking them up Saturday morning if all goes well (ie, they're in good condition). sharp1989 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 white interior is very hard to keep clean, i have it in my e36, thought it would be sweet but it gets dirty real easy, although looks really nice when its clean, stands out and makes it a whole lot lighter inside your car
dickhead 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 i see the white interior and instantly think of the horrible white vinyl jobs on hondas. I had the same choice once, and went with the black and don't regret it. I just got my seats leathered with inserts to make the seats more bucket style (front seats) it cost less than 1g for mint as leather, and the seats still look brand new 3yrs later. greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Well got the back seats in on Saturday. Thanks so much to Nick (.36) for the use of your workshop, makes it soo much easier. IMO it looks fantastic. Seriously happy. Heres a couple pictures. Front seats will be going in later this week hopefully. I'm keen to hear what you guys think, I don't really care! I like them! SOOO PIMP!

jjs 64 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Looks great. Ten times cooler than the usual black leather. I had the same interior in my E36 325i 4 door, which was Alpine White!

greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Cheers guys. It's always nice to hear that you've done the right thing haha. Door cards will also be going in right after I paint them. What would you suggest to paint around the insert? Just a normal matt or satin black?
westy 614 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Satin. Always go for the satin. The matt is a bitch to keep.
AzonicNick 0 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Looks good mate, better in the flesh too! Lets get those fronts in! let me know when you got it all under control Yo dwag, I heard you liked interiors so we put a interior in your interior!

Mark 178 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Looks the shizz Nick... good choice!
westy 614 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 It shouldn't be toooo shiny. Problem with matt is that as soon as you start to handle it, it starts to polish to satin anyway. Then just becomes all patchy.
martyyn 2 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 Looks good Nick but Glenn is right you need the white seatbelts aswell I think. Did you not need to take the fronts out to get the rears in
greenday-rulz21 6 Report post Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) I ended up getting a very good Satin Black Vinyl Dye from Repco. Went out to an automotive paint shop in henderson but they were out of vinyl paint which they recommended. That will be the project for today I think. Getting the door cards dyed black. Looks good Nick but Glenn is right you need the white seatbelts aswell I think. Did you not need to take the fronts out to get the rears in I don't know, I like the black because it contrasts very well with the white leather. I don't know whether you can get the seat beats out of the fold down rear seats anyway. But they'll be staying atm.Taking the fronts out took two seconds and it makes it sooooo much easier to work inside the car. Cheers everyone. Brook, not too bad. haha Edited September 27, 2009 by Nick021
