How fast are you?

Recommended Posts

I just used a different test on my iPhone (connected to our wifi).

Averaged between 14 and 16 download and 1.5 to 1.7 upload.

We have a 20mb/s line into our house but our digital cable tv uses 2 mb/s of that.

Cheers

Grant

Mine has fluctuated and sometimes its up at around 11 - 12mbps but this is the average.

How come the US average is so slow?

POS!

I need to switch to Orcon (am currently with Xnet, despite the test saying Telecom) those are some good speeds.

Probably due to the amount of people in bum-f**k Idaho who still use 56K

Exactly. The US is a huge place and large portions of the country are rather backwards and lagging 20 years behind.

Yeah, they just migrated from linux a few months ago to windows which he wasnt happy about, but the polytech gets kick backs if they did, if they stayed on linux microsoft make them pay more to have windows and office on their workstations... wankers
